Dry Lovage Leaves ( Leustean Frunze ) - 15 g

I love lovage. It is a perennial celery.The flavor is good on eggs and in soups.I eat celery to lower my blood pressure and use this as a supplement to the celery.

My plant died and I ran out of lovage...so I thought to myself, Amazon.com sells EVERYTHING...why NOT lovage? I was pleased to find this, although at first I was looking for plants to replace the one that died. Obviously, this was much easier! I cut open the package and dumped in my lovage container and voila! No fuss, no muss and I believe that I have enough to last me till summer (I bought 2 packages). I use it at least twice a week, when making soups and stews.This was well worth the money.

Traveling through many countries, I was introduced to the excellent flavor Lovage adds to a wide variety of foods.This small packet of super crushed Lovage seems to have lost the essential and necessary natural oils.I suggest for those who enjoy the true flavor this herb has to offer, you widen your search before ordering from this company. I have started the search and find process. As it is prolific, I don't understand the small, overly crushed packet offered by this company.It is easily grown either in garden or in pots. I had hoped this source would help me until my spring garden begins to produce a the hearty and flavorful taste sensation I know Lovage to have. Spring is almost here, so soon, I will enjoy a bounty of wide, un-powered Lovage.I cannot recommend this source.

Very small amount for the money, though.

Without "leustean" a soup is not complete. It adds flavor and it has that specific aroma only mom's soup use to have!!

Like many other Romanians I have been looking for Leustean for many years. I ordered 2 packages, but they are very small. I have used it in my Romanian (ciorbe) soups and they did the job. The taste is like the one I remember from my childhood in my mom's house. Unfortunately, Amazon is out of them right now but they should receive again.
