I bought this level last year and only recently used it. The level was not level and I returned it to Johnson. They were great by talking me through the return process and sending me a shipping label. They sent me a new 24" level that is spot on and even included a cover on the new unit. I am very impressed with the way they managed the replacement and will definitely purchase from them in the future.I highly recommend Johnson products because of the outstanding product support the demonstrated. This replacement level is outstanding.

Works as intended, feels sturdy, will likely last a lifetime.
It’s a mid-priced, high-quality level for basic grading/leveling needs. My paintings all hang straight, my TV isn’t mounted crooked and all my new outlet wall fixtures are just right. Problem. I realized too late my living room is 1/8” shorter on one side...

Amazon sending older version of Model 1253-2400 Level.
This is the second time that I have been trying to get a Johnson Level Model 1253-2400. The description and photo are correct on the web-site but Amazon is sending an older version with the same model number. The older model does not have removable end caps and does not have over-sized Anti-Slip/Anti-Shock end caps as indicated in the description. The body of the older model level is not printed "Johnson -Lifetime Guarantee". It just shows "Johnson".
