I've still never heard the whole guided imagery track. It looks like I would probably have to intentionally sit up with a cup of coffee after a full nights sleep. But then again, why? Totally Pleased and Impressed!!!
I am so happy with this CD! I wasn't expecting such great results as I have a real problem shutting my mind off at night. I have taken sleep meds for years, but recently decided to stop taking them and go the natural route (which hasn't been easy). So I decided to give another sleep CD a try. And I'm so glad that I did!!I received the CD yesterday and used for the first time last night. I probably didn't last more than 10 minutes before I was OUT! Like another reviewer, I wondered what the rest of the CD was like since I didn't make it very far ...LOL!Rather than dreading trying to go to sleep tonight, I am actually looking forward to it and plan to bed down even earlier! I HIGHLY recommend this CD. I've tried other sleep CDs in the past, but they were nothing like this one.It's great!Thanks!

Helps Me Sleep Through the Night
I have tried many guided imagery CDs for chronic insomnia. Several did help me fall asleep but not stay asleep. I've been listening to this CD for three weeks. About 2 thirds of the time I do sleep through the night. This is Heaven to me! The nights when I don't sleep through I listen again and do sleep through the rest of the night.Also, after listening to Belleruth's soothing voice for the first few nights, something surprising happened. My dreams, which had been filled with striving and anxiety, further exhausting me, are now kinder and gentler.I am very grateful for A MEDITATION TO HELP YOU WITH HEALTHFUL SLEEP.

I like some of her others better
This is good. If you have never heard one of her recordings you are missing out. Personally, I like the meditations for stress. I listen to the visualization meditation every night to help me sleep. My dog even lets out a big relaxed sigh when I start the cd! I think it's the sound of her voice and the music but the content is good too. I started using her CDs 10 years ago and have not found anyone else that even come close for effective guided meditation.

Great help for grieving people with insomnia
This CD saved my life when my husband was dying and after he died. Every night I listened to it and every night it worked. I usually followed it with more quiet music or a favorite poetry reading so that I'd have a full hour, and the few times this routine did not work, I just played it again. If I woke up at 4 a.m., I could just play it again.I am not a "woo woo" type person at all -- and sort of wanted to laugh when she talked about my guardian animal -- but even my skeptical mind didn't prevent it from working and thank God -- I needed my sleep!I recommend this to all my friends -- at the very least, it has NO side effects. I'm really grateful.Thanks for making this terrific product!

Try her Relaxation & Wellness CD instead
Purchased it for the intended purpose (to fall asleep!), but went back to using Belleruth's Relaxation & Wellness CD, which has a more effective (for me) Guided Imagery and a section of very useful Affirmations. Both CDs have useful music background, but again, I prefer the R & W CD's to this one. When (sadly, not "If") I awake in the middle of the night, I often just advance the CD to track 3, the Affirmations, and rarely get through to the end of them before I drift back off to sleep. I hope they are unconsciously working on me, as is suggested!

Horrible! Trash! Don't waste your money!
Horrible! Her voice is so rough & raspy, not soothing at all! I wish I could return it! I hate this cd, sounds like she just woke up & needs to clear her throat! I got taken, even the music isn't very relaxing! I'll stick with Roberta Shapiro who lulls me right to sleep, I was looking for something different but that was a mistake that made me loose good money. This cd goes directly into recycle garbage!

Puts me to sleep every night.
I combine this Healthful Sleep with an app called Ambiance and the Pillowsonic speaker pillow.The app lets me pick what sounds I want to hear (crickets and highway traffic) and then I can play the Healthful Sleep mediation over the cricket sounds. When the Sleep Meditation is done I have crickets on all night.It puts me to sleep every night. When I wake up in the middle of the night I play it again. It's not always effective at that time but it still keeps me calm.There is also a new app for this meditation called Sleep Help. It's currently on sale in Itunes. I own the app but I wanted the cd too so I could have more control over the background sounds.

Very relaxing with a very soothing voice
Not at all too new-agey. Her voice is very soothing and she presents images to think about that I was able to relate/respond to very well. She goes beyond the standard "relax the toes, now the foot, now the ankle" that others have -- the narration also works to quiet the mind. The music in the background is not at all intrusive and the narration with background music eventually goes to background music only; it works well on my iPod, giving me a nice long time to hear music to sleep with. I use this music as a type of white noise also. I highly recommend this dvd, and look forward to trying some of her other ones.
