Good quality if a little on the expensive side
I needed to use a CPLD on a project and in the interest of getting up and running I bought a usb blaster and dev board from the same vendor. The CPLD board powered up with a flashing light and was working correctly, but the usb-blaster refused to work, reading up the reviews on the other product I found a few others with the same issue recently. So rather than waste any more time, I looked around and saw this wave share usb-blaster, having used a number of different wave share products in the past, I've always had a trouble free experience and reading the reviews on this told me that it was a much better alternative to the more "generic" blasters that were available. It's priced higher, 3 times as much as the others, but it's not outrageous but it would be a no-brainer if it were at the 20 quid mark, but it isn't, so it loses 1 value for money star because I think it's a little overpriced. That said, I plugged it in and Quartus could not see it, I checked in device manager and the driver was missing. I attempted to install the Windows 10 driver, but windows told me it could not install and quit. I did some searching and realised it's a problem I've encountered on my own products, the driver isn't signed and Windows 10 requires a signed INF file to install, so I rebooted windows with signature enforcement off and tried installing the driver again and this time it installed. Once you have the driver installed you can simply boot back into windows normally and the device will then function as normal, so I fired up Quartus again, opened the programmer and pressed the "auto detect" button, the lights flashed on the device briefly and it showed the CPLD device in the list! It works! It comes with the necessary ISP cable to connect to the CPLD (or FPGA) and includes the mini-usb cable as well. Forget the cheaper usb-blasters and go for this one, it will save your sanity!

Works well
Plug and play, worked very well. A little expensive but you get what you pay for I guess. The cheap ones are a waste of time

Brilliant.
Highly recommended. Superior to the cheap versions that one can buy on here.

Works on all boards tested
This programmer works better then my existing "white and blue" version which came with a Cyclone 1 dev board. That programmer could not program two different Cyclone 4 boards, but this one could.

Great low cost alternative to the expensive Altera cable
Works great with the Altera software, used it to reprogram a broken LimeSDR. Very nice bit of kit!

It works
I used to have a blue knock off like this that stopped working on Windows 10 for me (triggers BSoD). This one works nicely with the latest Quartus (20.1). Had some issues with installing the driver (it says USB Blaster V2, but it's not the same as USBlaster II, so it is just a USB blaster).

Fonctionne très bien, testé sur Quartus II 13.1 (64-bit) Web Edition

Works under Windows; couldn't get it working under Linux (yet)

It works, I am happy. It's a bit overpriced on Amazon but I received it faster and it works fine so I guess I must be happy. It's a funny story btw, I ordered the board and thought that I don't need a programmer because I already have 2. I just missed the fact that they are Xilinx programmers and they don't talk to altera cpld although technically they all talk just JTAG. It's hilarious 😂

funziona molto bene, ho acquistato questa un po' più costosa della versione cinese (che non funzionava ) ma con questa programmo senza problemi anche le schede cinesi di Cyclone IV e MAXII usando Quartus lite 24.1
