No, these are threaded. You use these with the female threaded fitting that goes to a hose barb. This allows you to easily take the hose off of the quick disconnect. If you want the hose permanently installed, buy the other version that has a hose barb.

The threads measure 1/8". Is this correct?

The threads are 1/4" MFL threads. These measure about 7/16" outside diameter.
