 Rugged phones tend to be a bit chunkier than the average mobile phone, but it is not the case for this Poptel P10. The 5.5-inch screen with 18:9 aspect ratio is reasonably bright and perfectly suited to most tasks. The gorilla glass 3 certification is great and the case is a shock resistant, IP68 and with a combination of rubber, metal and textured plastic covering the rear panel.The buttons have a textured feel that I personally love and it is really handy to have a dedicated button to load the camera and shoot pictures or videos. The NFC capability is also a feature generally reserved for more expensive phones and it is a welcome addition to this handset.Responsiveness is great thanks to a powerful octacore Helio P23 chip and its related graphic. The 4 GB of modern and speedy LPDDR4 allow me to keep most apps in the memory without losing any performances. 64 GB of storage is plenty but the option to further upgrade it by installing a tf card is also welcome.Also fantastic is the dual SIM function and the sound feels suitable for most needs with the main speaker positioned at the back of the phone and a 3.5 mm headphone jack available when needed.The charging/data connection is a micro USB and personally I would have preferred a type C system but overall it is not an issue.The cameras are average but totally suitable for most needs and with quick auto-focus. The main Sony shooter has a pretty impressive macro capability but colour accuracy is occasionally slightly off.Having a mostly stock version of Android 8.1 is also great and to better show the characteristics of the phone I have attached a video and a few pictures. Construction good quality, responsive screen, However would not download Amazon shopping App as not compatible 👎 plus Wifi &3G connection Very poor comoared to all other phones next to it, so had to send back!!

I always wreck my phone's by dropping them nearly all the time & cracking the screen , That's how the problems start on every phone I have had , So because of this I thought I shall get a Rugged smartphone & see how it stands up for the abuse it going to get ? , After looking at some videos of the Poptel P10 in action , I see it being thrown , Put in boiling water, Put in the freezer for 24hrs , inflammable liquid poured on it and set alright , Opening walnuts with the gorilla glass screen , etc . And I said to myself the phone's spec is more than enough to what I need , so I will try and see Ian very happy at the moment . Russell

 I must say, I was a little anxious about testing out my new waterproof/shockproof phone, But my curiosity got the better of me, So i gave it a whirl! I filled the sink up and put the plug in. The video shows the full underwater drop test, And as you can see, It did indeed survive the torture i put my phone under ;) I am happy to say this is definitely a phone i would rely on. It would survive major cold spells, Massive heat, And even total immersion underwater for a period of time. This is a survivalist phone, A must have for anyone needing something tougher than most. It has all the smart features you would come to expect from a great android, From making calls, Texts with optional fun emojis, Inbuilt advanced sentence finishing, That is quite intelligent in it's suggestions (it could be a mind reader!) ,It also has a good back camera for taking pictures, And also selfies from the front cam with optional choices of artistic photo styles. This Android also boasts an excellent battery life that so far has lasted 4 days on one charge, And still going strong. This is a very special phone that is built like a tank, Yet delicate enough to be a great everyday phone for anyone to use. I would personally recommend this as an excellent investment in long lasting tech that can handle life itself.

Seemed a good phone when setting up. Slim and not too heavy for a tough phone, dual sim worked well, not laggy, decent screen (though finger print magnet). Specs good for the price. Camera however did not work at all as only got messages saying camera could not link and black image. Tried other camera apps, removing flashlight apps etc etc but nothing. May decent phone if you do not get a dud. Returned.
