I don’t like the flavor

I am stuck out here in Colombia where the food ain't that great, and things like palm oil are hard to find. So I was fortunate to have help from a friend to bring the oil to me personally. I made fried plantain with palm oil on the first day, and it made me happy!

I read about all of the wonderful health benefits of red palm oil so I wanted to try it. The literature made it sound so good I was going to buy a 5 liter jug. When I read some of the reviews from people who bought it, I started having second thoughts. They made it sound really scary. It stank, and tasted so bad it made them gag! So I just bought 500 ml of Omni Red Palm Oil. Well, what I got was way better than they made it sound. It does have an odd taste, but it doesn't look like something hard to get used to. MY 500 ml bottle is half empty already and I'm ready to try the 5 liter jug. If it tastes as good as what I got I will be happy. I put about one third red palm oil with two thirds coconut oil and stir-fry vegetables. Tastes great!
