Absolutely the best for the price.
Small and compact. Great for a backpack, a bug out bag and gift or stocking stuffer.

Great emergency blanket
So far they’ve performed well. I’m a bigger guy and they cover me well. I live in the Midwest where temperatures can drop into the negatives. Having emergency gear is critical. The bivvy bag is compact and easy to travel with.

They'll get the job done
The 'sleeping bags' are roughly equivalent to Hefty Ultra Strong garbage bags with a metallic lining and made large enough to fit an adult person into. That's an unflattering oversimplification, but it gives you a fair idea of what to expect. Nothing glamorous, just a potentially life-saving tool that can help shield you from the wind, keep you dry, and trap body heat, all in a mini sack that's the size of your fist and weighs 4.7 ounces. And, if you open/invert them, they can be used as reflective cover from the sun or for signaling search & rescue crews. As long as you know what to expect and are reasonably gentle with them, they'll fulfill their purpose when a real sleeping bag is unavailable. Note that these are not breathable (you may sweat), do not have contoured tops to cover your head (you may lose some heat), and do not have zippers or other 'amenities.' Expect to pay more for such 'premium' features in a bivvy. As far as the accessories go, they are definitely afterthoughts. Made of cheap plastic, the whistles and compasses both meet the minimum threshold and will work in a pinch, though you're better off planning ahead -- buy dedicated alternatives and give the included ones to your kids to play with.

Handy in a pinch
Dancing in the rain! I bought two for my Alaska trip, I used one in Alaska to lay on my tent floor due to all the rain and condensation inside the tent. I wanted to keep my pack dry. Last year I went out for a sunset hike and I forgot my rain jacket. I ended up using the 2nd one. I kept this one, I let it dry out and put it back in my pack for another day. Durable, lightweight, perfect size for 1-2 people with good coverage. Could squeeze in 3 with minimal exposure. Open all the way up perfect for 3-4 people. Also can be used as a sleeping bag if needed.

Compact, light-weight - can be used for many purposes
Bought for hurricane disaster home kit - hope we never have to put them to use but the bags are compact & light weight. They also fit nicely in a backpack for day hiking so perhaps that's an option for us too.

Can't go wrong at $12.99 a four pack
It's like crawling inside a giant mylar balloon. The material is thin, but seems strong enough to reuse multiple times. The seams and edges are reenforced and add structure to the bag shape. I only tested in a cool room, but it definitely took the chill off more effectively than a bedsheet which is comparable weight and thickness. Have yet to test in real conditions. I would say that for the money, it wouldn't hurt to put a few of these in your vehicle winter kit or bug out bag. I knocked off the star because the neat little storage sack is single use. The sack is great, but you'll never get the bag stuffed back into it once used.
