Satisfied with performance
It’s fairly easy to set up and program. I we had had an entire month of slots for the medicine, but it’s still pretty usable. The medicine compartments are very small, so if you need to fish one out while you’re filling it, you may need some tweezers because it’s too narrow for fingers. But all in all, it has been helpful in making sure my mom takes her medication on time in the right doses

Great Buy! Don't splurge on one of those $2,000 ones when this does everything!
I just had a kidney transplant I was overwhelmed by the sheer number of medications I had to take up to four times a day. First, I purchased a normal pill box with four separate containers but the lids will not stay shut and I was worried that my children would have gotten into the medication. I set up timers on my phone but I often would silence them and then forgot to take the meds. I bought this and it was very easy to set up. In kess time than it takes me to just normally load my old pill organizer I have an entire week's worth of medications all programmed. Tonight at 9 my phone rang with the reminder to take my meds and it kept on going off until I got up and did it. What I like about the box is that until you take the pills it will keep reminding you I will not allow you to dismiss the notification until it physically feels you take the medication from the box. I also like the flashing lights it makes it hard to forget. One thing else that I liked about this product is that the bands can be changed according to your needs. Right now I need to take pills 4 times a day which will be for the first three months after the first three months I will only have to take them two times a day and instead of having to buy a second different kind of box all I need to do now is change the band on the inside and I will be all set up to go. I am able to keep 26 different medications in one compartment at a time. Some of the pills are small aspirin size and some of them are quite large this was the only box that I found that could accommodate so many different number of medications that was under $2,000.

Great, but...
I bought these for my mom who is living alone and needs a little help remembering her pills. I live about 20 minutes away. The problem I find is that this thing is so simple it clicks once every time the alarm sounds. Therefore, when she is out or even almost out I can't just fill it back up and let it keep spinning. I have to be there after her last dose to reset the dispenser. Her last dose is at 7pm. I have to hang out at her house or make plans to be there at the right time. I have to plan my day/week around it instead of when it is convenient for me. Other than that issue, I am very very happy with it! I do still recommend this if you or a loved one needs help in the pills department.

Learning Curve for Those that CAN'T Learn?
Why do we use these? Because our loved ones need help because of their forgetful brain. Well- this is a huge learning curve for someone with dementia and they can't seem to process it because it is a little complicated. Good idea, needs more simplicity though.

Functional solution to keep pill regimines tightly managed
This was purchased for an 86 year old female living in independent/assisted living. She had been getting her dosages mixed up with dosage times. This included overdosing and under dosing. The facility she lived in had a dispensing service with an upcharge of $300/month. So, I bought this device in hopes that she could learn to use it.It took two weeks, but she is now fully comfortable with its use and handling. I keep the key out of her hands and place her proper dosages in the pill slots once per week, and it dispenses. Given the price of this device, it has paid for itself in one month. Not a bad return on investment. The machine has a key lock door. Two keys are provided. It’s not a safe, but for someone who is not a lock pick, it will be adequately secure. If the patient is mechanicallly minded, I doubt you could keep them outThere is a twenty eight slot round dispensing system. Pills are loaded according to the refining. So, with this patient, she has a three regimen per day situation. The supply then lasts nine days. The clock and timer were easy to program, just follow the written instructions. When it’s pill time, the machine says, “Time to take your medications.” It will repeat this. When the pills are dumped into a cup from the machine, it responds, “Thank you.”The best way to use the device is to download the app. It is very easy to program there. This particular unit is Bluetooth only, so I have to be within about 30 feet for it to operate via the app. There is a WiFi unit that is an upgrade from this device, but it was substantially higher priced. The pill slots themselves are a bit narrow for my fingers, so I use a small spoon if I need to retrieve a pill while loading. That’s the only thing I dislike about the device. This device is for children of relatives of those who receive regular visits at their assisted living apartments. You cannot simply hope the elderly relative does all of the pill loading and programming themselves. I would not trust this patient to load the meds and set up the regimine on their own. Since I am this person’s POA and HCS, I take the responsibility seriously concerning her meds and keeping the machine loaded, batteries fresh, and checking the app for information.

Cheaply made
Very cheaply built. Description indicates very durable, couldn’t be further from that. From the cover, hinges, locking mechanism to battery box. If this unit is dropped it will shatter! Very dissatisfied, especially for high price. The instructions even say that if locking mechanism is tightened improper it will break!
