UltraCote Silver HANU881 Airplane Covering

I had never worked with Hangar 9 plastic coating before and I found it to be very high quality and easy to work with. I build work horses for model airplanes not show horses and the product looks very durable and has a great appearance as well. I would recommend this product to to anyone.

Good quality coating, very pricey but quality is worth the price paid.

I got these to cover a small rip on the bottom of a biplane of mine.

I can't compare this to other products, But the Ultracote application went well. It stuck easily and pulled tight and smooth with heat gun or iron. I won't bother trying anything else. BTW, the silver color looks great. I used this on a PT-17 display model. It doesn't look like P-51D polished aluminum, more like the fire-resistant doped fabric the Navy used in the 1930s: a darker, pewter-ish silver.

I thought I’d try Hangar 9 Ultracote for the more available colors than Monokote. The first time I used it this is what I found at the end of the roll. Gray was taped to the end of the roll. Would have been enough to complete my plane. Had to order another roll of this second rate material. I miss the days of Hobbico, when Monokote was available in a plethora of colors, and matching paint in abundance. THANK YOU Horizon Hobby for making it harder to enjoy this hobby.

I use this product.....different colors...on all of the rc airplanes that I build. I find it to be the best of all of the different brands of covering material.
