Worked perfectly. Removed failed drive and inserted the new replacement drive. One word of caution; order by the Dell or other OEM p/n, not by the Seagate p/n.

Exact OEM duplicate. Pops right into the array and goes to work. No more orange warning lights! :)

I've ordered these replacement drivers several times over the years as drives continued to fail on our old server. They were always perfect replacements, but this time they came with the wrong tray.

I thought I would have to unscrew the tray, remove the old drive and attach the new one. This thing is ready to go! very satisfied. I hot swapped and it rebuilt. no problems at all.

Put in the hdd and it immediately failed. Guess I should have bought OEM from Dell.

Hot swapped this drive into the server and it rebuilt itself without issues. Beware that the Seagate brand (without the Dell logo) with the exact same model number did NOT work in the server: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0035G0J98/ref=ox_ya_os_product_refresh_T1 I think the sector count of the Seagate drive was less than the Dell branded drive, resulting in smaller drive capacity, and the RAID would not rebuild. This Dell branded Seagate drive solved the problem.

We've purchased a few of these drives, and they've initially worked just fine. Just had one die in less than a month of use, however, which is a bit alarming. Suspect these are actually used drives, not new.
