Thank you for your question. The brightness of the laser can not be adjusted in this model. This laser level comes with a LCD screen and Bluetooth Remote Control.

I purchased the Kastar brand (Amazon) :[ Kastar 2-Pack SB-L160 Battery and AC Wall Charger Replacement for Samsung SB-L110A SBL110A, SB-L160 SBL160, SB-L320 SBL320, SB-L480 SBL480 Battery, Medion MD9014 VP-SCD55 VPL600 VPL700 VPL800 VPL900} Same 7.4 volts, the fit is exact and lasts as long as the original supplied battery. You do need the wall charger as this battery has no C-port .
