The strap is good looking that is for sure, as per quality its ok but could be better. I guess it has not been treated in any way since it does kinda stain pretty easy. And its made out of layers of skin i thinks its either 2 or 3 layers. Other then that everything is good, buckle is nice and brushed quick release pins for easy swap. Pretty good for the money.

The leather does indeed appear to be full grain with a reasonably smooth backside, so it's comfortable. The buckle is also very nice, with better detailing and tolerances than some more pricey straps I've been using. Also no branding/logos on the buckle, which I appreciate. I rated only 4 stars for durability because it will be a long time before I know the truth. But giving the thickness and quality of the leather and the quality of the stainless bucklet, I think it will last a very long time.

Recently I ordered an Alpine Hand made watch band. I ordered mine in dark brown. The quality of the watchband is very good. It is made of thick leather with the "Rallaye" design. The buckle is made of thick metal and looks durable. I am certain that this watchband will last for a long time, due to high quality materials used in it's manufacture. The watchband is very comfortable to wear. I have the average size wrist and the fit is excellent. Nice watchband. Highly recommended.

I like the clean, chocolate brown color; and the leather, while not the top quality, is certainly more flexible and comfortable than you would expect for the price. The spring bars built into the strap are a real bonus when it comes to changing watch straps. I put mine on my Fossil Sport 54 chronograph, (which is a nod to an Omega Speedmaster) to wear as a "knock-around watch", and it gives it a classic vintage retro look. I've seen other leather military rally watchbands going for triple the price, and I'm more than satisfied with this strap.

The strap itself is very cool. Looks like leather, smells like leather and is very comfortable on the hand. The bad thing are the spring bars. Probably it is only the problem for my watch (bought it for Garmin Venu 2) – Spring bars locked and looked fine, until I tried to bend the arm. Even with minimal effort, the spring bars just released from their places. Very disappointing. I had to replace the spring bars with the original ones, that came with Garmin strap – now it's fine. You may see on the picture the side-by-side comparison between original and Alpine spring bars. They are evidently shorter and thiner.
