Love the book

Lovely pictures that could with an update on the story. Really not a good message, lets hope parents dont feel this way about their children. However if you want traumatise your children or just dont like them being around feel free to purchase. Went in the bin.

Really didn’t like this book. Basically mum just wants time away from her kids (which if you are a mum we all know that 5min peace would be great) but I’m not a fan on the overall message and the ending. My 2yr like the pictures abs I just changed the storyline. A shame as I had better expectations

This book is a much loved classic - it should be on every child’s bookcase! The story is simple and engaging and relatable to adults and children alike. I’m a reception class teacher and I read this to my class of four to five year olds every year - the children always enjoy it and laugh throughout the story. The pictures are interesting and the text is simple but well written. I would highly recommend this book to be read with small children.

I have fond memories of reading this book to my children when they were little and I bought this as a gift for my grandson. I hope he will enjoy it as much as his mother and her siblings. Would highly recommend for any small child. Good for adults too, the expressions on the faces are wonderful!

I really don't like the message this books sends - basically the Mummy wants time away from her kids, they keep "annoying" her by wanting attention and she gets grumpy. I'm not sure why it's deemed such a classic.
