Great power bank. It does heat up a little bit when also using the phone. I got it at a great deal, it must’ve been a glitch, but I’m so happy I ordered.

I love the concept of these power banks. They're battery packs that you don't plug in, you just pop them on the back of your MagSafe-compatible iPhone, and your phone will magically start charging wirelessly. There is a USB-C port for you to charge it, and you can also use that to charge a second device the old-fashioned way using a cable (although you want to make sure not to overload it). Apple used to make these but they discontinued them. While Anker makes great products, I find their pricing to be more and more like Apple's. So I'm happy to see high quality products from smaller brands like this. Their packaging and presentation is as impressive as Apple's and Anker's. They clearly put a lot of thought into designing something that's not just functional but also attractive. It fits my 12 Pro Max like a glove, although I imagine it may be too large for a smaller iPhone. It works like a charm out of the box; all I needed to do was snap it to my phone and it started charging. One thing that's important to note is that because it doesn't have MagSafe in its branding (and there's no MagSafe animation when you snap it on), it's really just a Qi charger that charges up to 7.5W speeds (only official MagSafe-certified devices with Apple's authentication chip will charge at the full 15W). The pack does get quite hot as well, which is typical for a device like this that doesn't use Apple's smart handshake protocol. That means faster battery wear than an actual MagSafe charger. I'd still recommend this for the convenience factor, but you'll want to look for MagSafe in the product name and description if you need the speed and reliability of a true MagSafe charger.

I bought three of these chargers in the past six months thinking that they were sleek and high powered. The glass cover on two out of the three broke and the corners dent easily from falling. When I reached out to their support team (WhatsApp in China) for help, they simply said that the glass cannot be repaired and is therefore not covered under warranty nor would they honor my purchase with any support. Don’t waste your money. Anker is a better option for a durable high powered portable charger at a more reasonable cost.

Wasn’t sure if this was going to be a CCC certified model, but glad to see that it is. A must if you plan to travel to and within China. This unit is also sleek and not crazy bulky as the small handful of other CCC units you can find on Amazon are.

I love the design of MagSafe chargers and this is no exception. It has a very premium feel to it with a metal back and glass front. That being said...one 3ft fall to concrete and the glass on mine shattered! But before it shattered, I did do a few tests of the capacity. It advertises that it supports 15W wireless charging, and while I can't test it, it did seem to charge fairly quickly. It also was pushing 19W when attached via a USB cord. That being said, due to efficiency loss, it can't charge as much using wireless as it can with an actual cord. And with it only being 500mAh to begin with, it wasn't even able to charge my iPhone 17 pro all the way. Starting at 29%, it wirelessly charged to 80% in 1:37 before the battery died. Plugged in with USB, it charged from 21% to 88% in 1:19 before going dead. If you have a larger battery phone like the iPhone 17 Pro, I would suggest at least a 10,000mAh battery, but this one will do fine if all you need it for is an emergency top off.
