I received a product which was missing date of manufacturing coming from "Made in USA". NO sticker was on seal. No sticker to authenticate it.

I never thought I’d be the kind of person who would write a thousand words about motor oil. Then again, I also never thought I’d be the kind of person who checks the weather before leaving the house, compares gas station coffee brands, or gets excited when wiper blades go on sale. Life has a way of surprising you. And if you’ve made it this far, you either (A) genuinely care about engine oil, or (B) clicked the wrong link while looking for olive oil reviews. Either way, welcome. Mobil 1 High Mileage Synthetic Oil. The name itself sounds like something a mechanic would whisper at night to soothe themselves to sleep. This stuff is marketed toward cars that have been around the block more times than your neighborhood jogger with too much free time. We’re talking vehicles that have seen some things—like potholes big enough to swallow a compact car, gas station burrito wrappers under the seat, and questionable “maintenance” done by that one uncle who swears duct tape fixes everything. So what makes this oil special? Let’s start with the basics: it’s designed for cars with over 75,000 miles. That’s basically the automotive equivalent of being middle-aged. Your car might not have gray hair (unless you count oxidized paint), but it definitely makes more groaning noises in the winter, takes a little longer to get moving in the morning, and has that one mysterious rattle you’ve chosen to “ignore until it becomes a real problem.” Mobil 1 claims this oil helps keep those veteran engines running smoother, longer, and with fewer oil leaks. Now, do I believe them? Absolutely. Why? Because when I poured this liquid gold into my car, it was like handing a senior citizen a double espresso and a new pair of running shoes. The acceleration felt peppier. The engine purred instead of wheezed. I swear my old car even gave me a nod of appreciation, like, “Nice job, kid. You finally stopped feeding me that bargain-bin oil that smells like it came from a fryolator at a carnival.” Let’s talk performance. Mobil 1 doesn’t just lubricate; it rejuvenates. You know those before-and-after infomercials where someone goes from looking like they haven’t slept since 1997 to suddenly glowing with the radiance of a thousand suns? That’s my engine. One day it was sluggish, sipping gas like a dehydrated camel, the next it was practically begging me to take the long route home just to show off. And the protection against wear? It’s like wrapping your pistons in bubble wrap. Not the cheap dollar-store bubble wrap either—the good stuff, the kind with bubbles big enough to survive an office party. Mobil 1 creates a shield so smooth, friction basically packs up and goes home. I imagine the inside of my engine now looks like an Olympic ice rink, with little pistons gracefully gliding around while Tchaikovsky’s Swan Lake plays faintly in the background. Now, let’s not ignore the elephant in the garage: the price. Mobil 1 isn’t cheap. You could buy a suspiciously large pizza or a questionable haircut for less. But here’s the thing—when it comes to engine oil, you don’t want to play the bargain game. Because you know what’s more expensive than Mobil 1? An engine replacement. Or towing. Or having to bum rides off your neighbor who still thinks Lynyrd Skynyrd is spelled with an “i.” And yes, I can already hear the skeptics: “Oil is oil. It all does the same thing.” Wrong. That’s like saying all coffee tastes the same, or all dogs bark the same, or all Nicolas Cage movies are equally weird (though, okay, you might have a point with that last one). The difference between bargain oil and Mobil 1 is the difference between running a marathon in flip-flops versus running it in high-tech sneakers with NASA foam cushioning. One will get you there; the other will get you there without needing hip surgery afterward. So what about longevity? Mobil 1 says it protects for up to 10,000 miles between changes. That’s longer than some relationships I’ve had. Think about it—you could drive from Maine to California, back again, and still have oil in the tank that’s fresher than your uncle’s jokes at Thanksgiving. That kind of staying power is impressive. Let me tell you a story. My car, a humble sedan with more than 150,000 miles, had been running on discount oil for years. Every morning, it would start with the enthusiasm of a teenager being asked to mow the lawn. Then I switched to Mobil 1 High Mileage. Suddenly, it was like that same teenager discovered coffee, Wi-Fi, and free pizza at the same time. My gas mileage improved, the engine quieted, and for the first time in years, I didn’t have to top off a quart between oil changes. Here’s another perk: this stuff reduces leaks. Now, I don’t know if it’s literal magic or just really good chemistry, but since using Mobil 1, I’ve noticed fewer oil spots on my driveway. That means I no longer have to strategically park over old stains to avoid judgment from the HOA. Small victories matter. To sum it up, Mobil 1 High Mileage is less like oil and more like a spa treatment for your car. It moisturizes, revitalizes, and extends the life of an engine that’s seen a few winters. If you care about your vehicle—and let’s be honest, if you’ve read this far, you definitely do—it’s worth every penny. ⸻ Final Verdict: If your car is older, tired, or just a little grumpy in the mornings, give it the gift of Mobil 1 High Mileage Synthetic Oil. It’ll thank you with smoother rides, fewer leaks, and maybe even a little extra horsepower when you need it most. Because while you can’t stop time, you can make it a whole lot easier on your engine.

Basic full synthetic 5W-20 motor oil. Used in my car for they first time and will see how long it lasts. Should get at least 5,000 miles before it needs to be changed. Claims to be special for vehicles with at least 75,000 miles so will see what happens over the next several months. Seems to be made from quality materials. World peace was facilitated by this item.

I only use full synthetic in my vehciles. I've never had any issues using full synthetic. I have noticed that the oil is cleaner (lighter colored) when I change the oil vs when I used standard oil in the past. For me, that's peace of mind that the engine is cleaner and not leaving a bunch of carbon deposits internally. No idea if the "high mileage" is a factor or makes any difference at all. I just know that it works and I trust it.
