We've been using this brand/type of cup for years for my autistic son because sippy cups aren't old for teeth, but if we give him an open cup, he'll dump it or play in it. He was able to figure out how to use these pretty easily and they're easy to drink out of. I'd say they're about... 97% spill-proof. If you drop them on the floor, they can splatter some liquid out, but not much. The silicone seals pretty well and stops it from leaking if it's lying on its side. They're pretty easy to take apart to clean, and to put back together. You have to make sure to take the silicone piece out to clean it because we didn't know that when we first got them, and we got mold spots. They're dishwasher safe, but I almost always hand wash them to help them last longer. If the silicone starts to get cloudy, you can soak it for a while in hot/warm water with white vinegar, then clean with soapy water, and it clears up the cloudiness. Also, another thing I didn't know is that you're supposed to replace them every... 6 months or something like that, I forget exactly how long, but especially if they start showing wear or scratches/breaks/tears, because bacteria can get in there, and then you can't get them fully sanitized. Overall, very sanitized with them. I just wish I could find a non-plastic option that wasn't insanely expensive because we've been trying to eliminate plastic dishes from our household due to microplastics, and I haven't found a good alternative for this type of cup in non-plastic that my son can use without spilling or opening. 9/10 (minus 1 point for being plastic)

The absolute best cups ever. the minute my child could hold things between his hands, he’s been using these cups. they’re extremely easy to use and we’ve had them for like a year and a half now. easy to clean as well! It disassembles completely and i’ve washed the plastic cup part in the dishwasher just fine, but i hand wash the rubber lid part just in case. The only downside is that if it gets slammed on the ground, it will spill. most babies slam things on the ground so many spills have happened. ALSO if your child thinks of chewing on the edge, might as well assume it’s always going to leak. we bought these purple and pink ones because we already had some blue ones but my son chewed up the edge and we needed replacements. BUT i just found out you can buy replacement seal thingies for $3 on the Dr. Brown website. so that’s a plus!

These cups are great, they really are no spill. My Toddler caught on very quickly how to sip out of them as well!

Overall, I am happy with the cups. They are mostly leak proof. However sometimes in the commute to work the cup will get tipped over in my bag, and her milk will spill all over the bottom of my bag. My daughter has also learned that anytime she drops it, it sprays whatever it’s holding and that becomes a fun game. But it is, however her favorite cup to drink from.
