Fun little Car
This is the second little car I have bought like this and I have to admit it's just as fun as the other. I'll break this all down into categories, please keep in mind I am comparing this vehicle to similarly priced vehicles, this does not mean it will outperform a high-end Losi, Traxxas or Aarma, but you are not paying the prices of those trucks either. For the Price range this vehicle hits well above it's cost. Price: I Paid mid 40's for this truck and at this price it's really good. Overall bang for buck is high! We had a blast bashing these around and general fun. At the price tag of a what would typically be a throw away car from a big box store you have a great little vehicle. that likely outperforms the other. Performance: The truck is powered by a 380 brushed motor which strikes a solid balance between acceleration, top speed and decent run time. the gearing isn't too shabby and the motors seems pretty peppy on every surface i drove it on. there is plenty of torque as you will see in one of the videos the truck easily climbed a plastic slide at the park. Handling: The spring rate is nearly perfect all around; they keep the truck shiny side up on road soaking up small bumps and cracks. Off road they do well soaking up some bumps, but this is where the lack of oil Dampening shows. the bouncy nature of the vehicle caused a few roll overs. The spring even do well soaking up rough landings from small jumps. Overall I am impressed with the suspension. The tires continue this theme, they are hard enough that i don't anticipate them to wear out quickly, but also soft enough to grab well on most any surface. Keep in mind the balance between the power and grip is spot on for this one. Resilience: This thing took some solid hits, from my son crashing into me with his car (similar size, weight power and over all performance), to me jumping it off a small rubber mat, rolling it on some dirt and tree roots, bouncing it off some obstacles and other things. One item that is a blessing and a curse is softer plastic. This trucks control arms and suspension parts are all softer plastic, this makes them a little sloppy and in racing this might not be a desirable trait, slop means less control on the edge of performance. But lets be clear this truck isn't a high-end racer, and thats a good thing! This is an entry level basher and that same negative for racing is a huge positive for bashing. The softer plastics flex and allow this vehicle to brush off some accidents that would break parts on other larger vehicles. I remember back in the early days boiling some control arms to soften them so they would have more flex, allowing them to take a hit and not break. Also if you do manage to break something they send it with some extra parts and tools so you can fix it! Which is awesome, none of the cars costing 3-5 times this vehicle do that. Looks: The vehicle looks nice, the front wheels lack adjustment and as a result sit a little odd, it looks weird but doesn't affect anything, maybe some handling but no really noticeable. I bet there are some cross over parts with brushless versions of this that may fit and allow the adjustments i would like on this one. Outside this and the spring shocks I really have no complaints. Overall: It's my feeling about this truck is it's a perfect balance of cost, performance, reliability, size and go anywhere ability to earn a space on my shelf. My son and I ran a few packs through these and we are not disappointed, we had more smiles than 40~ dollars could get you at an arcade. I would not hesitate to recommend these to anyone.

strong and fast
It's a great RC car, it goes fast and it's strong. You can use it on the grass with no problem at all, it will run fast without effort. The most important moving parts are metallic, and that's the best point. It's 4x4, it has some led lights at the front, and it even comes with replacement parts. 2 years ago I bought an 1/12 RC car, bigger and more expensive, that was all plastic... after 2 crashes (it's supposed to be all terrain), it broke all the moving parts. That won't happen with this car.

What a responsive little RC
This RC car is Fast and Responsive! Not too bad for the price point. I have taken it outside and drove it on concrete, gravel, dirt and grass and it was up to the challenge. Even semi tall grass (Not yet cut this season) the car was able to plow right through. When going up against rocks and other obstacles, it mostly bounces off nicely. The smaller obstacles it will go right over or jump. At times it would hit something and flip but it did not receive any damage. Flip it over and away it went. This RC moves. I didn't clock the speed but it seems pretty fast. Also, the steering is very responsive. One little move and the car turns. Do a quicker move on the steering wheel and the car spins. I've had it in some impressive spin outs. Overall this little guys is fun to play with. Why only 4 stars? Two fold: 1. The controller did not come with batteries and nowhere on the Amazon page does it say batteries not included for the controller. Luckily I had 2 AA batteries lying around. (The box says it needs 3) 2. Trying to drive the RC straight is a challenge. It continues to drift right or left. There is a Steering Trim wheel on the controller but it's either too touchy or I am not adjusting it correctly. While driving it slowly, I adjust the trim to neutral but if it continues forward after adjustment, it still drifts. Going faster just increases the amount of drift. With the steering so responsive but the trim unable to stay at neutral, it's hard to keep the car straight while walking behind it on a sidewalk. One other note, the Amazon description says for boys 8-12 but the box says 14+. I'd agree with the 8+ range but the messaging is not consistent. If the drift problem didn't exist, this would be worth 5 stars.

Fast and fun.
We got two of these for our grandson's and they absolutely love them. They like that they came with two batteries that increases the drive time. Also customer support is amazing if you ever need them.

Great intro for my 6 y.o.
We have been buying R/C cars for our little boy for the past 2 years, getting models from box stores mostly, and being incredibly disappointed in the quality that $20, $30 and even $40 will get you. His Christmas gift, roughly a $40 car from Target broke after just 2 days of play... I knew that there was another level of car, but I did not want to jump to the $100 price point for a 6yo that would most like drive the sucker into the sewer! Then I found this little gem. It has the look and feel of a much most expensive car, but at an intro price point that was perfect for my young'uns. (I did get the insurance since I do expect my kids to break any toy that is not made of wood!) Pros: - battery life is pretty good - I will charge the batteries over night, or during the work day, and the boy will then have a solid 30/40 minutes of play time after school. - Ability to control the speed - we can lower the speed/throttle on the remote, which was helpful when he started to want to be more controlled in his operation, and it was nice when letting the 4yo have a turn. - spare parts - you'll need 'em - we had a handful of full force slams into trees, curbs, tires that resulted in a few of the axils to bust, and a trip down a few stairs required a quick change out of a shock. - great support - I reached out to the manufacturer and they were willing to send additional parts - which is pretty rare, but a nice surprise! Cons: - the tires have come off the wheel - but this is a minor issue in my book - I just dabbed some super glue as the issue arose and problem fixed (can't complain w/ the beating this thing has taken) - needing to replace the axils as they pop out - not a huge issue based on the way the kids play, but these are plastic and they will break. I have started to only replace 1 of the front axils (drive shaft) at a time - this allows one front wheel to not spin and the kids love doing donuts! - that I wasted so much time/money on the janky cars from Target/Walmart and didn't just bite the bullet last year. All in all - this has been a great purchase - I want to say that we got about 8 hours of use the first week having the machine, and it has provided roughly 5 hours per week for 3 weeks after. so - we've ragged this thing for almost 25 hours and it's holding up great. I imagine that we'll be using this through the summer, and hopefully can pass it down to the younger when bday comes and we step up to a faster/larger model. hope this helps somebody

Loss of power
This rc car worked amazing. It was fast and worked great. Not sure what the issue is but now I’m not able to reach full speed with fully charged battery. Both batteries were charged fully one time before using in rc car and then have been recharged once more. But since then car is only about half speed on either battery.

Great RC truck.
Great RC truck. Fun to drive. Comes with a bunch of extra parts. Has a variable speed control nob on the controller. Seller was quick to respond when I had a question.
