It worked very well. The eSIM is easy to setup. I had data when I was in mainland China. The Google works. I can check my yahoo mails. Somehow I cannot check my Gmail. I also noticed that Gmail is not working either with HKG airport WiFi. It only works with Japan airport WiFi. Wonder if I should’ve bought eSIM card including Japan to be able to check Gmail. Overall I am happy with the data speed and performance except no access to GMail.

It works great but it slows down significantly on the last day.

Worked perfectlyl during a visit to China, it also worked in Tibet. To set up the e-Sim, it was my first time and customer service could help with the set-up. Upon return, I had to change all the cellular settings back as my phone didn’t work upon return. My suggestion: Users take screen shots as they go through the set up process as it will make it easier to reset your phone to its original settings when you return to the USA. Or, if you do need to contact their customer service, it’s helpful in set up. I found setting up a physical Sim is much easier, but, it is probably because of my first time to use an E-sim.

Item did not work and I had to buy another product when I arrived at destination

Purchased this item for a recent trip to China. Item easy to setup and use. Good value for the amount of data available. Had issues accessing some us websites, ie Google services like gmail. Easy fix...purchased a vpn subscription so i can use gmail. Will most likely purchase again for my next trip to China.

Why did you pick this product vs others?: This 8-day plan fits perfectly for a quick visit around one week. Depending on your flight times, you may not need cellular data access on your arrival and/or departing days. In that case, it may cover up to a 10 day visit. Set up is a breeze. Just scan the code and push the button once or twice in Settings app. That’s it. Signals are available everywhere in Shanghai. Connection is fast and stable. Nothing to complain about the quality. The 5G/8 day plan is equivalent to 20G/month, which should be sufficient for most users. Just be aware it doesn’t come with a phone number though, which is not a problem in my case. We use FaceTime between family. This is the most cost effective plan I found on Amazon that fits my schedule. Very happy with my choice.

When I arrived in China, my cell phone indicated strong signal. However, I couldn't access internet and any website. I 'm so disappointed. Then, I figured out the reason. It works perfect after I turn on ''Data Roaming''. I couldn't remember if the instruction mentioned this. Also, the contact email seems not work.

This e-sim was very easy to set up and it worked great in Vietnam, Cambodia, and Thailand. Unfortunately, it didn't work in Hong Kong.
