The light and filter stop working sometimes

I've had 1-1/2 gal and 3 gal Kollers over the the years. They were good enough for the price, but did not perform above satisfactory. Both models developed cracks and scratched easily. This one is way beyond better. The lid fit tight (unlike the previous) and the pump doesn't play at filtering. It FILTERS. I don't have to change the filter for 2 weeks, and it could probably be stretched a little longer, to keep the water clear and clean. The filter pump does have a stronger current than some of the smaller Koller and Tetras that may be a little challenging to very small bettas. My betta is medium-sized and has no problem. The light is just super. Another piece that fits well! No dangling antennae apparatus to use a remote control. Just a touch of a button on the lid-top offers an assortment of colors and lighting variations. I've gotten so many compliments, my betta seems to love this one, and I'm impressed with the quality of this model.

The size is nice. Not too big and not too small. The problem seems to be with the filter. The first one I bought the filter just quit running. It would never really prime itself so I would have to prime it and then it would quit after a couple hours. Then it finally quit altogether. Order a replacement and this filter and pump seems to be working, but it’s got a very noticeable Home. Not really whisper quiet.UPDATE - well the tank is nice and a good size, the filter is absolute crap. The first pump I had quit working after a couple days. They sent me a whole new aquarium. This filter quit after about three weeks. The main problem is you can’t order a new filter. I would gladly buy another filter and then a third to have a spare. It’s a very specific filter and you can’t purchase it separately. If they fix that, I will do a second update right now. I would tell you don’t waste your money.

This was a bigger tank for our betta fish. The first day he swam all day. The only thing he didn’t like were certain colors of the LED lights. He would hide in his treasure chest. I soon learned he preferred the daylight option. The only thing I didn’t like as well was the visual distortion of the curved corners. But the tank and filters were very nice. We eventually added a small heater and the fish seemed to enjoy it even more.

I have one beta fish living her life in this tank. About a year and a half after purchase the lights and filter stopped working at about the same time. I was just going to buy replacements from this seller but they don't sell them.

The reason for three stars the filter did not work right away after getting it and they won't replace only the filter, so I had to reorder the whole thing and exchange the filter to return the old one but suggest buying a better filter because the tank is nice overall and the there filter is garbage.

Great tank for starting. The noise is low. Easy to change filters and view is all sides. Plus the filter sits in a built in compartment so no suction cus to steady the motor and filter. Love this Koller tank.
