Great fun for the elderly
My 97 year old grandmother got a kick out of this. She laughed every time the hair grew.

My Grandson is delighted.
My three year old grandson loves this toy, and plays with it all the time. It's very well made, and after a short while, figured out how to reload it by himself, which goes to show how well conceived this design is. A big yes recommendation, and don't forget to buy extra Play Dough.

Great Toy for ?~5+ Year Old?
Dextrous Three year old who uses other simpler PlayDoh kits on their own loved it, >>BUT couldn’t operate this on their own. Required continuous adult assistance to play with it. Kid pulled the compression column / piston apart then couldn’t get it reassembled. Couldn’t slide the heads in & out of locking base slot. Would crank handle past maximum compression range causing gears to pop & possibly eventually break. Great idea. Great toy. ONLY for older children.

Fun and cute
Fun and cute! 4 stars for the aggravation of having to clean all the playdoh out of the holes and head.

Not for 3 year olds
It was a great product, however I don't think its for 3 year old's. We had a ton of fun though.

Fun in concept, not easy to manage for young children
Fun in concept, poor execution. Younger kids (my child is 2) has to have the help of a adult to operate. The way the hair is pushed through the head holes is by crank, and Play Dough brand dough is too dense for the hair to be pushed through easily. Cleaning the holes is also tedious, and results in rice sized pellets of dough all over the floor. Yesterday the gears got clogged by the dough, so I'm unable to remove the head to clean out the dough, so I'll have to take it apart and see if I can fix it. The toy comes full assembled via screws, and I hope I can put it back together properly, as it's not meant for disassembly. The minion disguise hair cut kit is a much better option if you want to clean it out easily and allow your kids to play independently. No crank, only push down.Final thoughts: doesn't clean easily, becomes clogged on regular PlayDough, use homemade/softer play dough for ease of use, and gift to older kids with established fine motor skills. The Minion hair station is a better option all around.

It's fun but very messy
This was good in theory. My 3 year old absolutely loved this but overall it was hard to for her play this on her own. She is able to turn the lever to push out the playdoh and can use the tools to cut and shave the hair. She loved making braids with it. There's a moustache mold on the back of the chair which she also loved. I gave this toy 3 stars for the following:- It is hard to remove the person from the stand. There is a bit of a trick to it and once you get it, it's easy but it must be done by an adult. My 3 year old does not have that kind of strength.- It turns the playdoh into a thousand little pieces and most of the time I'm sitting there putting the playdoh back together.-Tiny playdoh bits get stuck in the head and my daughter likes me to clean the head entirely before she starts again.-Your playdoh colours will merge in a second and before you know it, you'll only have brown playdoh.
