Great book for teachers and tutors
This is an excellent guide to undoing the misconceptions that children learn when they are taught how to do things without being taught why we do them. As a former math teacher, I was glad to have this book to use when tutoring a child who seemed to have no number sense. She is doing much better in her math classes now.

Finally, a Good Book on Math Misconceptions!
I enjoyed the research behind the misconceptions. It also provided ways (teacher modeling, games, student talk, etc.) that would help to eliminate the misconceptions. It has a sister book that provides more hands-on ways to further deter these misconceptions. I've ordered it, and hope to read it soon.

Math misconceptions
What a way to point out misconceptions that we may not even think of. This is a perfect book, especially for preschool teachers; we can keep the misconceptions to a minimum for grades 3-5.
