Perfect solution
Perfect it does what it promisses and do it very well. No pops, and very versatile and easy to configure. Once your pedals are placed the fun begins with even combinations you have not tried before. No power supply included thou , newsre of that I did not but not a problem. Just mind that the unut is picky on what power source you use with it. They include a note about this.

I think it's good for the price but it's heavy as hell
I think it's good for the price but it's heavy as hell,,,, weighs like 3 times an OC 10 crocodile tail loop.

Great Unit that Does what it's supposed to
Got this unit on recommendation from local music store. I was doing way too much tap dancing on stage with my pedals, and needed to simplify my set-up. Getting this thing up and running was easy, assigning presets is so easy you can practically do it from the stage. It's basic, and does not take up a lot of real estate on my board. A few enhancements I would make though:Would be nice to bypass the presets entirely and use the pedals ala carte, as if there was no control station there. Currently, if you use this unit, you're committed to only using pedals through a presets. I suppose I could set up one preset with all pedals and turn them on and off as I like, but that's a little kludgy.Would be nice to have it work in an additive mode, such that if I had three pedals assigned to a given preset, and I wanted to temporarily add a fourth pedal to the preset, I could do that in a live environment, without having to bend down and hit the preset buttons.Other than that this thing rocks. I have heard that the company went out of business and I may have gotten one of the last ones, but I got a 2yr warranty on it so I have piece of mind. Casing, pedals, and electronics seem very solid and well built, so I don't anticipate any issues.

The Pedal Dance has ended
Are you tired of having to press your chorus pedal, lead echo pedal, and boost pedal to do a lead, and then have to turn all of them off and turn on different pedals to use for rhythm. Well the Moen GEC9 will cure those problems. You can turn on any number of pedals all at the same time with one foot click, and then turn on completely different set of pedals with another foot click. There are 50 different pre-sets in 10 banks of 5. You can hook upto 9 pedals plus a tuner. I say if your using more than 9 pedals better buy some rack mount equipment. It doesn't cure your problem of having to change settings on each individual pedal if you need to do so for different songs, but at least you can turn on and off all of the pedals you need to at one time. I've been using mine for three days now and would not consider gigging and playing copy material without this or an equivalent unit. It is extremely easy to set up and use, and so far there are no tone changes, or popping, switching between channels. The only change I would make to this unit would be to make the switches the click type. When you press on a preset the buttons are sensitive and don't click, and if you double press you bypass the unit and go straight into your amplifier. Hardly a serious problem but something you should be aware of.****UPDATE---JAN 18,2014****THIS UNIT IS GIVING ME UNWANTED NOISE AND FEEDBACK AFTER BEING ON FOR ABOUT 2 TO 5 MINUTES. IT COMES AND GOES. I'VE TRIED DIFFERENT CABLES, PEDALS, AND THE NOISE IS DEFINITELY COMING FROM THE MOEN GEC9. EXTREMELY DISAPOINTED. THIS UNIT WOULD HAVE BEEN PERFECT, BUT AFTER READING ABOUT PEOPLE HAVING THESE PROBLEMS, I DON'T TRUST IT ANYMORE. THIS DID NOT JUST DEVELOPE EITHER. IT HAS BEEN DOING THIS FOR A WHILE BUT I THOUGHT IT WAS A BAD PEDAL OR CABLE. NOPE!

Good price, but...
Not bad at price, but died fast. Replaced with Boss ES-8, sturdier design.

MOEN GEC9 "COMMANDER" effects looper....perfect idea
Unfortunately, I've had this unit for about 1.5 months after purchase. Just past my 30 day full refund with Amazon. The unit is now not functioning properly. I am getting unwanted noise/feedback through the unit. Minor problem: Loops 7 and 8 selector switches turn on/off simultaneously when engaging one or the other. Main problem: the unit seems to work normally until about 5 minutes into swtiching thru different presets. It doesn't matter about the signal chain, or whether its a dirty(overdrive/distortion)/ booster/EQ/ or modulation pedal selected through the presets. The feedback persists. Even, when the unit is on for a about ten min, and no playing thru the unit is happening, the pedal will make a disruptive noise, hence, the feedback noise starts. If during this, and I engage any of the selectors that hold whichever effect, the feedback multiplies. I did this testing with the unit all day on Sunday (4/14/13) because unfortunately at my live set on Saturday, the problems were starting to evolve during realtime live playing at a show. I couldn't get it to stop feedbacking during my live performance. I am using a professional portected pedalboard (Furman SP8), had custom made professional Geoge L cables fitted to the GEC9 and my pedal chains. I use it consistantly at my home studio, a few rehearsals as well as shows. This was the perfect idea for a looper. It's what I've been looking for in the last 2 years. It is totally what I need for my rig. Now, I have to wait to see if the seller will able to refund or repair/replace this unit. Unfortunately, there is only one other looper pedal that I see out there that is close this. That one is made in Japan...this one is made in China. I opted for the GEC9 due to the list price of $300 as oppose to the $600 one made in Japan. Did I go wrong? I hope K&M steps up on this issue and resolves this with me. I honestly love this thing...but I just need one that will work. My rating is the worse due to being after the 30 day full refund with Amazon, and I don't know how the seller will respond...but I will post the conclusion. All i know is that I have an expensive loop switcher not working, an investment of high dollar custom fitted cables patched to my pedals and GEC9, with a very poor outcome of quality coming out of my guitar amp. Most importantly, I am unable to connect and express my true passion of playing music using this MOEN GEC9. I hope if I get a replacement, that it doesnt' do this again.I am re-editing my review to a 5 star. KDM Distributors totally, totally worked with me on this pedal switcher. They didn't have to. I was using a Furman SPB-8C Stereo Pedalboard that has it's own Power Surge Conditioner/w molded hardcase. I originally, was powering the MOEN switcher with one of the isolated jacks..but each jack was 100mA max...the MOEN requires a 500mA. Using the 100mA max output, most likely degraded the unit. SO, use the recommended 500mA max power source w the MOEN GEC9. After sending back for repair and purchasing a new negative center 500mA power supply...the unit failed again at a show. KDM distributors gave me a full refund! Thanks to Alan from KDM on working with me on this. Just wished it would have worked out. Harsh lesson learned here.

Excellent value!
Can't beat the value. Other comparable units costs twice as much if not more. This handles all your pedals and is very easy to set up. Built solid, no pops when switching channels and you get up to 50 presets. I definitely recommend this to anyone looking to customize their setup and not break the bank.
