Hardy strawberries that keep producing
Not all of my strawberries survived out of the entire pack of 25 but it's mostly my fault. Only maybe 4 died out of transportation shock or never germinated leaves but from 25 bareroot plants I went down to around 4 plants for a short period after planting them in the ground(Spring 2022). Now (October 2022) I have +25 plants through cloning and the plant self propagates itself. If your goal is to have a patch in 1 year, then I will say it's possible based on my results. I didn't get much of a harvest this year but I do think next year with my established patch I will have hundreds next year. Beauty: Foilage is ordinary but it does have cute white flowers during blooming Flavor: 4/5 but sometimes 5/5 (Tart with a few sweet ones and are better than grocery store ones) Quantity: 1 small plant will produce at least (4 berries/ month), produce berries at least for 2 seasons Durability: Survives cold weather, poor soil and animals that are constantly thrown at it (zone 7, MD)

Every one of mine survived, but produced small, and very little fruit
I received my strawberry cuttings a few days before Christmas. Being that its my first time growing strawberries, I decided to grow strawberries inhouse and then take them out once they started to grow leaves. I purchased a UV light and added some dirt into empty toilet paper rolls. I water them daily using a sprayer and applied the UV light for about 10 hrs daily. If this process, I began to see leaves growing in about a week and half. See the pictures. The only down thing bad I can say is that I think the plants had fly eggs because I woke up one day and I had dozens a flies in my kitchen. But of I blame myself for planting in the house. So, I took them outside and the flies were gone. Its almost Feb and all but 1 survived ...not bad for a beginner Update: its been exactly 1year, and the strawberries all have survived...however it has produced very little fruit the entire year. Plus the strawberries were small

Do not buy. NOT from Hirts. Poor quality and moldy!
So I ordered these thinking they would be coming from Hirts, which is what the listing says, which is less than 30 minutes from me. However, when they shipped (via DHL which is horrible lol), they were coming all the way from California from a different company! It took 11 days for them to reach me. By then, the plants were very much past their prime. Moldy and dry, I still attempted to plant the ones with some life. However, many of the plants roots were too rotted or had no roots whatsoever from being clipped too short. After about a week only 5 out of 25 showed any life. It’s been several weeks, and we’re down to one lone survivor. The seller never responded even though I had messaged them twice. Don’t buy this, ESPECIALLY if your very far from California. These were very poor quality. I went on to buy some from Hirts ACTUAL website and they arrived in less than 3 days. Beautiful and healthy plants. Try their website.

Not too bad
Being this is my first time planting bare roots, I think I received a good product for the most part. I received the exact amount that was ordered. The only gripe I have was how difficult it was to plant a small handful of them due to the roots of a few were really short (barely long enough to support itself without compacting soil around it) and a few within that bunch also were really short, with a short crown. So not much of a stem to stick out the pot. I planted them all anyway so hopefully I see some progress from a good majority of them.

Great Quality
Was a little leery when I first purchased these last year. Not really thrilled with other seed/slash live plants I have previously purchased on Amazon. But time was running out on planting so I took a chance. They arrived doing fine, but again the problem was mine and I had to leave them too long in frig before planting. But when I finally got them in they did OK and gave me a fair amount of very tasty berries. I decided to give them anther try this year (I live in Florida and strawberry planting is best in Sept.-Oct. They arrived a little dry as expected, I sprinkled them with water and placed them again in frig for 2 days. When I pulled them out to plant they were already turning green. I planted them in a hydroponic tower and in less than a week, they are totally green, healthy little plants. This company supplies extremely excellent plants and I will definitely make them my strawberry supplier in the future. Any problems last year were totally my fault, the plants they sent did well under the circumstances I provided them with. I will try to update this review when plants get bigger.

Planted Correctly?
I planted them in cups like directions said. I cut roots to allow 2-3”. Placed in sun in window. Most have died. Did I over water? I did water and the water did sit in the pan for a minute. I did drain the water from pan but did not water the plants because the soil was still wet. The plants are dying. Ive got 4 good ones left. What did I do wrong? And how can I salvage whats left? And how do I know if the ones that are brown are really dead. Not really trying to write a bad review because I think its owner error and not the fault of seller. Just need advice, can you help?

Healthy plants - 1 yr update
So far, so good. More than the expected number of bare roots arrived in good condition. Hydrated them for 24 hrs (because of us being busy, not on purpose) and they did really well. Planted them in temporary containers outside for a week until we figured out our plan. They are at least triple, if not quadruple, in size with healthy leaves. We did not lose a single plant. Pictures included of how they arrived for reference. 1 year update - All plants alive & thriving! Our little strawberry patch (pictured, under the netting in a raised bed) as well as our container planta are doing great. We got quite a few berries at the end of season last year, this year they started flowering in March. We know they're still young, not sure what kind of yield we'll get in our 2nd season but they are spreading, they wintered over wonderfully, all around super pleased with these.
