I ordered these for my husband who needs daily dressing change on his pressure wound at base of tailbone. The nurses that change the dressing are super impressed with the quality for rolling him to his side and back again. The quality is actually better than the pads used in hospital. Will definitely order again.

The Ultrasorb line of bed pads is one of the best quality pads on the market. I have tried many bed pads and these are among the most absorbent. I first learned of Medline’s pads during one of my many trips to the hospital. At Mt. Sinai hospital where I have had numerous surgeries, they regularly utilize the Extrasorbs pads. These Ultrasorbs are the top of the line and appear to be slightly higher quality than the Extrasorbs. I currently use bed pads on my floor as I have an elderly dog who can’t wait to go outside. She suffers from Cushings Syndrome. Although I do not dispute all of the excellent reviews for this product, there happens to be another bed pad that is more absorbent which is McKesson Maximum. I have compared the rate of absorption and the capacity to absorb fluids and in my honest opinion the Maximum is more absorbent and absorbs faster. On the other hand, the Ultrasorbs feels slightly softer on the skin and may retain odors better. The other comparison is price and in that respect the McKesson Maximum wins by a long shot. By the case these Ultrasorbs are $2.00 per pad. The McKesson Maximum are $1.34 per pad, a much better value

I bought this pad when I came home from having surgery. I needed a pad that was strong, and absorbent. I used these pads for weeks since I didn't need to change them every day. They are soft and big enough to protect your bed no matter what your situation. Thank God I am healed to the point I don't need them any longer but I would buy them again if I ever needed to.
