my daughter wants lavender hair but i am thinking that the virgina snow or what ever would be too light what do i do and what color

Virgin snow is not a purple dye. It is used to tone blonde hair white.If you want lavender, mix this with conditioner until the dye is the color you like. What you see is what you get. Its like paint.The color you get depends on how light her hair is. The lighter the hair, the more true to the purple itll be.Also, if you leave it on overnight, it might as well be permanent. Its been 3 months since i left some in for 11 hours, and it never came out. But half an hour will wash out right away. An hour or two will last a week or two.

Do i need to use Color developer with this or can i use it stright out of the container?

Nothing else is needed to use this hair color. You can use it straight out of the jar. The times you might want to consider adding anything to it is if you want really vibrant hair, then you will need to possibly bleach your hair if you don't have very light blonde or white hair. The most the color will do is give you a nice tone of deep, rich red color to any hair color when used straight out of the container. Be sure you wear gloves, use old towels and wear old clothes when using color. It stains everything for weeks and the color is hard to remove from fabrics and surfaces.

If i used this on dark hair, would the color still show as blue...or must i bleach or lighten it?

Dark or darker than a Hershey bar it will be a kind of highlight you see in the sunlight. If you want it to actually be blue and your hair is dark or darker than a Hershey bar I would get the lightener kit from Manic-Panic. I wouldn't use a different brand. To test what color you will end up with, put your hair in a pony tail and put about a dime-size of color on your hair at the back of your head under the pony tail. Wait 30 min. rinse (maybe blow dry) and see for yourself if it is the color you were hoping for. *I wash (not condition) before I use and with the 3o min. it takes to soak into and stain the hair it takes me about 1 1/2 hours to wash, dye and clean up. Don't forget gloves, plastic bag that is big enough to put your wet head into and a plastic tie (or showercap) and a couple rags. I use petrolium jelly as a barrier to keep most of the Dye off my skin "dye-free". The color will transfer to your hands and nails in the shower as you rinse it off. I use three seperate pairs of gloves #1 to apply petrolium, #2 to apply dye and #3 to rinse. Then condition as is normal for you. If you do not have brittle hair, it is safe to "wear" overnight. Just leave the plastic(or showercap) on your head and cover the whole thing with a black knitted cap. Shampoos/conditioners that are for colored treated hair work better than the regular kind for adding days or even a week to your color. Ecxess dye can be removed by bleach or diluted bleach. If the dye gets on fabric, it will stay dyed. If you want less clean up go to the 99cent store and buy a new shower curtain. Good luck!

Will it show on brown hair and will it bleed? How long does it last

It will show somewhat I cover and leave it on my hair 30 to 60 minutes it may bleed a little. You can use it often without any damage to your hair. Good luck! It depends on have often you shampoo how long it lasts I shampoo once a week as I wear a short pixie with no excess oil to hair or scalp.
