BIO IONIC Powerlight Pro Dryer

I have owned 4 Bio Ionic power light dryers over the past 5 years. I do like the dryers because they are light and have great adjustable heat settings. They do a great job in drying the hair quickly and smoothly. There are, however, some design issues and functionality issues which have made me move on to another brand. Firstly, the rear filter casing is very fragile. On every one that I've owned the plastic filter casing has broken within several months of purchase. Whether it's from a slight fall or from just taking the cover off manually, it has been a real issue. Secondly, On two separate models, I have had a problem with burning smells and in one instance an ember came out of the dryer and almost landed in a clients hair! That was the final straw. I had liked them but won't give the brand another chance.

I bought this dryer in April 2016. Less than 3 months later, in August 2016, the heating element stopped working. Power, but no heat. I contacted the company about a replacement. They did respond, but their replacement policy, at least in writing, didn't cover purchases made via the web/Amazon (buyer beware). However, a customer service agent told me to send it back, without a receipt, BUT WITH A $35 FEE to cover shipping (it couldn't be that much to ship, seriously), and that I would get a replacement. I did, and my replacement arrived last week (October 2016). Two days later, the heating element was kaput. I can only assume this is a defect in the product (in comparison, my interim replacement purchase from a much less expensive brand is working great) and I doubt I will recoup any of the $100+ I've now spent on the original product and the replacement fee.

I already owned an iTools flat iron which I love. I was looking to upgrade from a $20 hairdryer to something that would control my frizz and cut down the drying time. My hairdresser uses this hairdryer and recommends it. I was comparing this and the Whisper Light. I am so glad I picked this one - it is sturdy and well-made but not heavy. Plus, it is quieter than my old Con-Air which was a pleasant surprise. Even my husband with his thinning hair notices how much flatter his hair sits when he uses this hairdryer. Yes, it does cut down on drying time and yes, my hair is smoother and flatter but in order to get it salon straight I still need my flat iron but because it is already flatter, that takes less time too. Overall, if you are looking for a professional hairdryer at a reasonable price. this is definitely the way to go.

I do like this product and I have no complaints. I am not a hairdresser and do not use this everyday, so I'm not an expert, but it feels a lot more substantial than my old dryers that I used to get generic stories. Plus I really like the long cord. This makes things a lot easier when my husband and I are both getting ready in the morning. I was surprised at the cost, but I read such good reviews about that I decided to invest. And actually, I bought their diffuser first, and then realized I needed the Bio Ionic dryer too. It cost more than I would normally spend on a hairdryer, but I like what I have now.

Ive been dealing with dry, frizzy, unmanageable hair for a while. Been using lots of product and nothing seemed to help. I had to switch stylist and right away I noticed that my hair was so much softer every time she did my hair. She told me about the hair dryer she was using so I had to give it a try. I looked at the Manufacturers website and the price was more than twice what I paid through Amazon. I received it within a week and I saw a huge difference in my hair after the first use. My hair dried in less than half the time it usually takes me. My hair is very soft and I have no frizzies like with my cheap drier. I guess it was frying my hair. I didn't even need to use all my hair products as before. It's definitely worth the money. It will pay itself off since you wont need all the products for your hair. I also purchased the BioIonic square barrel hair brush. Works great.

This is the best blow dryer Ive ever owned. It cuts the drying time down to almost half and smooths the hair. I have thick long hair. I was to the point if i couldnt find a good dryer i was gonna cut my hair off. I have 3 dryers already, trying to find one that would smooth without frizzing. I dont even have to use my flat iron now if indont want.

I'm very picky about my blowdryers and I LOVE this one! Very powerful and hears up well. I bought this on the recommendation of my hairdresser who said it was light weight. My former blowdryers was also a professional model, but HEAVY. Bought this to take to gym and for travel. Loved it so much that I bought a second to keep at home. Never been a big believer in the ion technology, but I see a difference with this one.
