Works well as a baby monitor
I purchased this camera as a baby monitor for my 7-month-old son. I picked it because it has a temperature monitoring feature. His room is small, and the vent can drastically change the temperature in a short amount of time. We have spent a lot of time tweaking the air flow to fix this, but I really wanted a backup system to let me know if the room was below 66 degrees or above 78.That part works like a charm!! We tested it with a narrow threshold and it sends alerts, even over LTE. I also like that the night vision camera works automatically.Pros:- Temperature alerts work as advertised, you can set the threshold you want. Defaults are way too lenient- Night vision works- Easy to install software and hardware wise, no complicated networking and it comes with all the hardwareCons:- There is no optical zoom, so the camera has to be relatively close to the baby in order to see breathing- It is too easy to accidentally move the camera with the software. If you touch the video part of the screen, it interprets your swipe as a pan to move the camera. It makes noise when it moves, and I don't want my son to wake up because I was looking in on him. Good news is that if they keep their software up to date, it is an easy software fix.I'll update my review if anything changes.

Served its purpose :)
I got this camera to check in on my animals while my family was vacationing in Disneyland. Everything worked well and as planned. I got this one because of the night vision as well as the temperature Monitor which was extremely helpful since I have reptiles that reply on certain temperates to live. The only thing I would have to say can be improved is the speed the camera reacts to the movement buttons on the app. For me I couldn’t just press any button once for it to move in that direction, I would have to very quickly tap the button for it to move in that direction smoothly. This camera can only be connected to a 2.4 band WiFi so if you are like me and have your WiFi set to automatically switch between 2.4 and 5.0 bands then you simply have to call your internet provider and tell them you have a camera that can only be connected to a 2.4 band WiFi and so you need yours divided. After doing this they will appear as two super networks. Tell them to name them the same but put 5.0 or 2.4 at the end so you know. Then simply connect it to the network that’s has 2.4 in the name

Lost connectivity after unplugging. Not friendly or quick to reconnect, if it does at all.
Where to begin. Well, we're nearly 11 years down the road into 5g wifi, and nope that's still too big of hurtle, so if that isnt going to work for you then that should be enough to turn you away right now - read no further as you need to be connected to 2.4ghz to even get started. But my real main gripe is the connectivity. After creating an account, this thing connected twice, before never communicating with my phone ever again. (DO NOT UNPLUG OR REMOVE POWER) If power is lost, accidental or not, you will need to delete your profile of the camera and go through the device setup again each time this happens. This is where it just falls flat on it's face. Re-setting via the reset button (the only button on the device) only re-configures the camera back to default settings and goes through all the camera motions (about 90 seconds until you are able to attempt to re-connect. After unplugging it twice I was never able to re-establish any contact with the camera.Needless to say, this turned me off right away as it is completely useless without its most basic feature - keeping you updated & connected. In the extremely short time it was communicating with me I noticed that hardware-wise, for the most part you seem to get what you pay for. Movement around the vertical access is fairly slow. Picture quality is 7-8/10. Motion sensor worked, temperature sensor worked - however I was unable to double check its accuracy, alarm function, SD card function / recording and two-way intercom before losing connection.Just a real shame. A reliable & easy-to-re-join, modern 5g connection and reliable camera / temperature alarm are really the only two thins I am looking for in any surveillance monitor. We'll see what the 2020's have to offer - maybe we can upgrade to an ethernet port if even 2.4g wifi is too tall of an order. Again - the product at it's most basic level is completely useless without stability or ability to quickly reconnect on-the-fly.Bottom line: Had potential but just a complete dumpster fire at the firmware / interface level. I would put 0% trust into this device for monitoring anything.
