I could not even get 50 miles out of this. Clearstream 4 much, much better.
I have tried quite a few outdoor antennas, and none live up to their hype. I also do not much believe in signal amplifiers as they boost the noise as much as the signal, but I am willing to try them.I mounted this one on my roof, at about 25 feet off the ground. I followed the instructions carefully, and did have the correct LED indicators lit to indicate correct operation. I am trying to pull in a low power fringe station that hase several sub-channels which are my favorites such as Comet TV, and Retro TV. I do have a Clearstrem 4 antenna already in use, and it pulls this station in at about 60% signal strength (according to my Panasonic TV). I was hoping to get a better signal, so I have been trying alternative antennas. This antenna would not even register a signal on my target channel when pointed in the same direction as the Clearstream. I did run the antenna over 360 degrees on the rotor hoping for better results, but there was no joy. In fact, this antenna pulls in about 2/3 the channels the Clearstream does. The Clearstream is rated at 70 miles, and this is an honest estimate in my opinion. This antenna is rated at 150 mils, and that is pure B.S.. It is probably good for 40 or 50 miles at best. It is also physically smaller than the Clearstream, and I am thinking that even with the signal amplifier, size does matter.I also compared this antenna with a GE 33685 Pro Outdoor Yagi TV antenna with no signal amplifier. The GE is rated at 70 miles, and it was marginally better than this one. I imagine that with a signal booster, the GE would do slightly better. So, save your money and do only one installation instead of running through a bunch of Chinese antennas with exaggerated claims about distance reception. I have yet to find anything better than the Clearstream 4, and I have tried. The Clearstream does benefit from a low noise amplifier if you are running it through a splitter. I have found the ONN Digital Signal Amplifier a good choice. I have it mounted inside at the end of the coax run just prior to the splitter.

Great Product and Customer Service!
After 10 years, my old tv antenna had to be replaced. My roof got replaced which was where I had my old antenna so after removal it got damaged from age and it wouldn't work right anymore. I lost the VHF channels so after several good reviews on this particular one, I opted for this one. I had to figure out a way to get it on pole high enough to get a good signal. Well, I figured out a solution to that and after mounting it (without the amplifier hooked up) I got most of my channels back. I live in Houston and after I did auto program, I got 85 channels! I was missing some that I got back after contacting customer support. Jessica was the rep helping me out. It turned out that the channels I was missing were repackaged to different channels which I got from her. We communicated via email and she was quick to respond. I have 3 tv's at my house and only the main tv had a clear reception. The other two wouldn't receive all the channels until I plugged in the amplifier. After that, they were all back to normal.*I have to mention I was missing 2 screws and wing nuts to attach both antennas together but I had some at the house so it wasn't really a big issue. I won't punish the company for a simple mistake. They're customer service wiped out that minor mistake so no harm done.

Works Well-Hope It Lasts
This McDuory amplified antenna does not pull in stations that the GET Amplified rotating antenna (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B073P8QHFM/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o08_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1) was able to pull in, but the GET failed before six months of use. Several companies make a similar/exact antenna as the GET including McDuory. The McDuory I am reviewing with its built in amplifier (one at the antenna and one at the power source) does a better job than the Mediasonic antenna (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01C1YL16Y/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o04_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1) with the StarTV splitter/amplifier (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B071P864XJ/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o03_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1) Since my McDuory is on top of a 30 foot pole on top of my roof, I can only hope it can endure a winter with temperatures below freezing, rain, and wind as well as a summer with temperatures over 100 degrees. The amplifier on the metal antenna is surrounded in a plastic case which raises durability concerns. I redeemed my "free gift" which was an extension of the six month warranty to a full year warranty. I would give this antenna five stars if it pulled in stations as well as the GET which also claims 150 miles.

Great HD antenna
I really like the picture quality that I get because I live down in a valley with many trees around me. I now receive over 60 channels with better than cable quality for many. My antenna did have a missing nut and bracket for the UHF bi-polar antenna attachment but I had one that worked. Instruction were good except for one confusing drawing that did not seem the apply to the model antenna I purchased. In my situation I was able to use an existing mounting bracket that I had on my house for an old disk satellite receiver, which was much stronger than the furnished bracket. It worked great after I added a short two foot extension to get the antenna above the roof line. Make sure you use RG6 cable throughout to get the best results and remember the pre-amp must be in front of any splitter you plan to use. The only real issue I had was getting power to the pre-amp which was located underneath my house. Lucky for me I had an near by outlet underneath the house for another purpose and that saved the day. All and all I'm very happy with this antenna and I may turn in some of my cable digital boxes.

Very happy
I purchaed for my parents who were tired of paying $200 for satellite tv with hardly any channels. They live 2hours from a major city so I hoped this would work.Dad installed it on the old antenna stand very high up past the roof. They get 10 crystal clear channels. They are in QC so lots of French, but they get CTV, CTV2, Global, CBC which were the key channels they wanted plus a few I cant remember. They split the wire to go on two tvs and it did not affect the quality of the channels. They are very pleased.
