高級ギターでも、有名ルシアー製でも、ギターは、数年でネックが変形する。ある程度の変形を見越して、ナットもサドルも、高くなっており、弦高が上がるだけでなく、不要な倍音が多くなり、インハーモニクスも増す。 自分でフレットを抜き、指板面を直線にして、正しくフレットを打ち込めば（フレットの打ち直しでは、フレットが浮く事が多い）、ナットの溝を深くして、第一フレットの高さに近づけられる。この作業で、絶対値が欲しい時、必須。一般的な作業なら、不要。きちんと指標を持ち、正確に直すと、音ではなく、演奏性が劇的に良くなる。作業時間がかかるので、リフレットに出さず、自分で、時間をかけて正確にしあげられるなら、持っておくべき物の一つ。

La qualité music nomade. Un gain de temps phénoménal pour le réglage du manche. J'ai pu comparer avec une règle à cran, et ça la vaut très largement.

Il kit indispensabili se siete maniaci della regolazione del truss rod. Diversamente dalla totalità degli spessimetri da officina, queste non sono lubrificate a olio e possono essere usate in musica. Da bassista il mio voto è 10 e lode.
