I got this for 2019 Tucson!
This is my first review with instructions since I couldn't find or support from any of the online sources for my 2019 Tucson! I got a new 2019 Tucson last year right after the Christmas day and the 2019 model was a facelifted model so the basic frame structure was the same. However, Hyundai added many more new features so this kit will not be going to fit as a direct plug and play. Although, the main connection socket was the same, you have to modify a bit to work properly. However the same sockets, that's what I was looking for!!! I contacted Curt and they didn't have any anticipated date to be available to the market for the custom wiring kit for 2019 Tucson. I'm sure it will be available sometime soon but I didn't want to wait any longer with something that I don't know. So I took a bit of risk and it worked as it should be for me! I'm not a professional or expert and I do have limited basic knowledge about the tools and circuit. That's why I didn't want to modify any wires to the Tucson side. If I screw up on the vehicle side, it would be hard to source parts and going to be expensive fix so I took the safe way. If this doesn't work, I just wasting my money on this kit and keep my basic warranty since I didn't modify anything that factory installed. But it works as it should be with minimal modifications! Like I mentioned above, I didn't want to do any modifications on Tucson's side so I figured the new wire arrangement order. It's slightly changed from last year's model. But if you have a tester, should be easy to figure them out. (Also attached new wire arrangement and the wire color diagram for you! If you don't want to wait like me!!!) For the 2019 Tucson, Hyundai put lane change assistance + cross-traffic sensors, the wire is pretty short and I didn't want to put the wire directly around the sensor, so I did add about 3' wire for the right rear taillight connector. The time that I took was about 2 hrs for the whole installation process by myself including all wire modifications. If you want to install it to 2019 Tucson without any modification to your car, I think this kit would do with minimal modification to this kit. It's doable if you have basic knowledge and tools. The last picture shows that I successfully rented a trailer from the U-haul! and worked great!!! I hope this helps for anyone who wants it now!

This was not a tough install.
Watch a YouTube video on how to install and also a quick one on how to remove the tail light on the car. I have a 2013 Tuscon and what i did was removed the tail lights. I skipped removing the plastic behind the rear tire. I just took a carpenters chalk line and dropped the end down the hole you will see when you remove the tail light to the ground. I hooked my wires with the end of it and pulles it up through the hole with the chalk line. After i got both sides hooked up i located the break lines that run under the drivers side and planed on using its pathways and holders for my power wire. You will notice in the area about where the drivers back seat floorboard to under the drivers seat is a plastic channel the break lines go through. Start at the end closest to the front because it is narrower. Thread your power wire through it. Its tricky to do but it can be done. Once you get it run it all the way back to the power converter. Now go back under the drivers seat and thread tge other end through the brake line mounts. I think there were 3 of them. There is an extra hole the wire can go right thru. The brake lines will go right on up to where the battery is. No problem at all. Several people said the wires were not long enough. Maybe the company read those reviews and made changes because i had plenty. I had about 4 feet left over on the power wire. The pigtail wire had a plenty extra and at the tail lights there was enough. I really liked how easy it was to install. The power wire actually was thicker than i expected it to be. Great product!

Easy to wire
Very easy to wire. I did not run the hot wire to front and to battery. Found the auxiliary power in the rear of trunk which was a 25 fuse.

Great results, but a long install that is more difficult than it needs to be
This kit performs very well. Trailer lights shine bright and everything worked correctly on the first try. The install was much more involved than I expected, but worth it for the results. However many of the wires were barely long enough to route on my 2016 Tuscon. Just 3 more inches on each wire would have made the job go much easier without hurting anything.

Good kit
So easy my wife installed it by herself on her Tucson and 6 years down the road we have not had a single problem.

Super easy to install
The hardest part was figuring out how to secure the cables. It's as simple as popping out the tail lights and plugging the light wire into the harness. It simply works. Couldn't be happier.

Seriously lacking
Pretty junky. Installed on 2010 Tucson. For starters some of the cables are too short and you will need to splice and add to them. The wire connections in the tail lights also have trouble fitting in the space between the taillight and the body. The wire connectors that come with the kit are very cheap and will likely fail. To install this kit on a Tucson expect it to take several hours and be prepared to be frustrated most of the time. All that and I still don’t even know if it actually works lol

This product was a bit longer to receive but once installed was excellent. Now about the install, on the 2017 Hyundai Tucson Limited, this was easy for tail lamps but grounding and power wiring was very hard and took several hours. If you aren't good at basic car skills this will be something you should let someone else do. I have done three others, and they are generally easy installs, but this model has a controller box required to go to the battery and be grounded in the rear. Once installed worked absolutely awesome.

Unfortunately, I wasted over $100 on this item that will now go in the garbage. The left tail connector wire is way too short for a 2013 Tucson. I wasted a lot of time taking off my rear lights and working the wire through the body part only to find out that it won't reach the light. Unfortunately, it is too late for a return as I did not install this item until months after I had received it. Do not buy this item!

The sleeve hole doesn’t line up with the receiver so a part of the sleeve sticks out or has to be recessed in order to work. Prompt delivery!
