As it looks
This pink is as it looks, sort of a shimmer pink with a gold undertone metallic. Very pleasing to the eye. Must work with it fast and apply one coat wait for it to dry before attempting to apply another coat other wise you may have scabs in your surface. Once your used to it you understand how the nature of this product is and you will be fine with it. I like it for undercoating glass.

Worked great!
I purchased this paint for some wine glasses I inscribed for a 30th birthday. I researched glass writing paint fairly extensively before purchasing this one and this seemed like it would work and my local craft stroe did not carry it. It worked great! My husband and I painted each glass, let it dry for 24 hrs, then baked in the oven for 35 mins at 300 degrees (as recommended on the bottle to become dishwasher safe). We then washed all of the glasses in the dishwasher and they came out perfectly without any paint having come off. We kept a set and have used them frequently and put them in the dishwasher every time. No sign of the paint coming off yet (2 months and counting). If you need to inscribe glass, I highly recommend this! P.S. The bottle says you can thin it out, which we did not. We used it straight from the jar and it worked brillantly.

Good Product...If You Treat it Right
I was a little skeptical about buying this after reading many reviews stating that these type of paints tend to chip or crack. And they are right- if you don't make the proper preparations the paint will not stick at all and flake off everywhere. After a couple of failed attempts and some research, I think I've got the process down and I'm really enjoying the results. There are three key things I discovered along the way to making these paints work. First: Wipe down whatever you are going to paint thoroughly with rubbing alcohol. After you touch an area you intend to paint, do it again. If there is anything at all under the paint it will come off. Second: Let it dry for at least a day (or preferably longer). The paint will seem completely dry after an hour or so, and it may be tempting to throw it into the oven early. Don't. The paint really does need at least 24 hours to cure properly, or else it gets brittle after it is cooked. Third: After you cook your pieces for the directed time, turn off the oven but leave them in. Crack the oven open to allow heat to escape slowly, but do not take your pieces out. This allows them to cool slowly. If they cool too fast, the paint seizes a bit and pulls away from the surface. I left mine in the open oven until they were cool enough for me to touch with bare hands. This may sound like a lot to keep in mind, but the results are completely worth the effort!

Fun and easy to use.
I purchased these to mural a custom tumbled marble tile backsplash wall in my kitchen. Following the instructions and watching the instructional Pebeo YouTube video made this a fun project. One thing, these paints are thinner than acrylics (even the opaque colors) purchase extra so you have enough to give you adequate coverage. Thinners aren't as important as extra white and black for color manipulation. Super fun to use, no-low odor. smell a bit when you bake them but the smell doesn't send you running from your houses.

Okay alternative to ceramic lusters
I purchased three metallic Pebeo Porcelaine 150 China Paints in gold, silver and copper to test as a time saving and lower cost replacement for firing ceramic lusters. My first attempt was a little clumsy, but I'm getting the hang of it. I will only be using these on decorative pieces and not functional ceramic items because I am pretty sure these are not food safe and the paint would not last long for repeated trips through the dishwasher. These paints cure in an oven and are painted on top of glazed ceramic ware. They are a little thick, so purchasing the Pebeo Porcelaine China Paint Thinner is a good idea. The paints, while metallic, are not quite as shiny as traditional lusters.

Awesome result for my project
I used the paint to cover one half of a jar with a handle, two coatings and baked. Then I applied a gloss and baked again. The result was stunning. Jar candles like these, or in votive or pillar holders in front of actual mirrors, were used for centuries against walls and in corners to reflect the light into the rooms where it was needed. Note I used silver shimmer to reflect a white light. I preferred the appearance of the 160, but this seems to work as well as I'd hoped.

Color lighter than in picture
Color not as deep of a pink as in picture but still pretty. Very shimmery. I love doing crafts with this paint.

A lovely silver - thick compared to the primary colour kit, which is perfect for giving a special finishing touch to a work. These paints are easy to work with and create a beautiful finish. Once baked they become dishwasher safe.
