Does a decent job, but output feels uneven. I had to really crank it up to feel the intensity necessary to do the job. My old one required minimal voltage to do the same thing and current was even. My old TENS was a different brand.

My back was out bad! Spent $58-89 per Chiropractor visit for adjustment and being hooked up to the tens unit. This was over a three day. So I purchased this and used it for the balance of the week and into the following week back felt better. Note: once you use it DO NOT EXPECT it to feel better right after. It will feel better the next day each time you use it. My daughter used it also for her wrist same thing each time she did it the next day it felt better. So be patient.

I'm only 32 but have extremely bad back problems from a bad injury working in body shops. My whole lower back has herniated disc's that are needing surgery. I have severe arthritis in my spine, and degenerative disc's disease. I've spent a lot of money for physical therapy, and other non narcotic pain management things like spas and massages, acupuncture. I refuse to take medicine for pain that isn't ibuprofen or tylenol no matter my pain. But this device for what it is, has probably helped my back than the dozens of 100s of dollars spent. I paid the price for this just for it to do what I was going to a chiropractor for. Granted it might be slightly different, but it does the same job really and haven't really gone to a doctor for them to use a chair for my back since getting this. Granted, this is not a cure for back pain, but it surely helps when I'm having a hard time moving and not spending 75-100$ on a doctor visit. The heating option is such a nice additive for the rollers. I tried one similar to this and it hurt my back more than ever, but this has a padded part you can flip up or down to decrease the pressure and give a little cushion, or lift up for more direct. This made my back feel better, not worse unlike another device similar to this.
