Decent enough camera that works with the WD security system without extra configuration. Was plug and play. Not the best quality of picture but its decent enough

It's a decent POE camera but does NOT work with my DVR security system (OnWote). As a camera the quality is a bit grainy but you really do get what you pay for and this one will be replace sooner than later. If you're looking for a very simple camera that is POE this'll work fine, but for the long run, there are better units.

This would be a 5 star review if the camera was offered with different fixed settings. The 2.8 mm fixed lens covers a larger field of view than I need, so much of the picture area is wasted. I bought two. Everything else about this cam exceeds my expectations for this price point. It has excellent configuration via browser without the need to download suspicious software. The resolution is quite good and feeds my Blue Iris 4.9MP at 20 FPS. Night vision is good on one cam where street lights exist, the other hasn't yet recorded at night since it records only on alerts. I like the small size and the adjustment range is good.

I wasn’t 100% sure it would work with the WD readyview security system /NVR I had but it worked perfectly. Had read wd readyview was rebadged Uniview hardware so this product looks to be a good replacement camera for a system that is no longer supported by WD. The Uniview cameras that would work at 3-4x the cost of this camera.

So I got this to actually put on my truck for night patrol. It worked OK but the night vision doesn’t go out very far. I did notice that our friends across the ocean have the ability to see this which is not something I want. Bypassing that after doing some software modification, it’s a decent camera for the picture during the day. Distance of motion detection is pretty good. Sensitivity allows you a fair amount of adjustment. Environmental affect is minimal as it has good water resistance as far as I could tell. Kind of limited on connectivity as to what you plug into but it seems to work on a PC. Sound quality is good no problem with lag as your direct. It’s OK a little pricey.

Great picture but water got in the connector and shorted out. Camera is dead. Now I'm starting to wonder about the other cameras because they all use the same type connection.

Excellent built quality, These cameras are great for all type of weather. The Body is all solid aluminum. I highly recommended these for outdoor application.
