16.4ft Warm Led Strip Lights, 12V Indoor Led Strip Lights Waterproof Flexible Led Light Strip Indoor in Cuttable Dimmable Led Strip Light for Bedroom, Cabinet Kitchen, TV, Hallway, Bathroom

Used for exterior entry lighting. I chose to install transformer at an interior location for max weather protection; so, I needed to splice an additional 15’ of 2-conductor wire between the transformer and the lighting strip. In lieu of an adapter (bare wire to supplied connection), I cut-off the connector and stripped the wire at the lighting strip to make a (soldered) connection to the new length of wire. Otherwise, installation went well. FYI, I used deep u-shaped, aluminum channels with raised convex diffusers to gain max diffusion of light and avoid hotspots. Worked very, very well. Although the aluminum channels weren’t cheap, considering the desired effect of diffused light, they were worth the expenditure. I selected the “warm white” option. The illumination level is great. The (white) color is good, although not quite as warm as I anticipated. All things said, I’m very pleased with application.

There is a plug on one side and wires on the other, power can be applied or tapped from either side, but the wire within the plug is a smaller gauge than the wire on the other end. If you intend to string more than two strips together then you may want to remove the wired plug and solder thicker wires in place in order to reduce dimming from resistance of the small wires to the plug. The plug makes testing and most installations easy, but hard wiring with lower gauge (ticker) wires may be preferable for projects with longer strings of lights. Don't make light strings so long that internal resistance in the wiring of the light strip itself becomes a problem (check voltage loss). There are quick connectors that can be used, but as others have said, they don't give as reliable of a connection as soldered wires.I've installed many these light strips to light up a barn, a shed, a chicken coop, and shipping containers, they work well for solar-charged 12v battery installations. This brand has worked well enough that I haven't felt a need to try others. The 3M tape has stuck well to wood, painted wood, and painted metal.

Got the proper color, some reviews mentioned color issues. I was a little nervous since some of the photos in the reviews looked gold colored, and this company actually sells a gold version. With the included adapter the strip is very bright, tried hooking it up to the RV wiring and it’s only half as bright. No idea why since they both measure 13v. In fact, the RV voltage is a little higher. Disappointing since I planned on getting a 12V dimmer and doing a nicer install, have to use the wall plug that comes with it.

My original under-cabinet lights finally died so I did some online research and came up with these as a replacement. I liked that I could choose a warmer LED color instead of bright white. They arrived quickly, as promised. Unfortunately, the dimmer switch was broken out of the box, but everything else looked fine. My dad was only visiting for one day so we had to install them before I could try to return/exchange the set. I figured I could just use them without the dimmer switch, as the lights are on an outlet that is controlled by a wall switch anyway. My dad is very handy but had a little trouble installing these due to limited (and very tiny print) instructions, but we figured it out through trial and error. The problem was less with the lights and more with the connectors we had to buy to make 90 degree turns. One straight line would have been a breeze to install! Anyway, we got them all up and they look great! Even with having to move some strips around, they are sticking just fine with no sagging. The lights are brighter than my old ones so the dimmer is necessary after all. I contacted the seller yesterday and received a prompt and apologetic response that they are sending me a new dimmer switch--and it already shipped out! I'm impressed with the seller's customer service! They want you to be happy with their product! So far, I do love the product and will love it even more when I can dim as needed. There is about a one-second delay between flipping the switch on and seeing the light (which was not the case with my old ones), but it's not a big deal. They turn off immediately with the flip of the switch. I highly recommend these lights and hope to enjoy them for years to come.

I thought they were going to be remote Oh Bluetooth, not plug-in And my not so knowledgeable contractor suggested a pull the cord through my bedroom window. What a joke.

Over the last 7 years, I've done several projects using LED strips from various vendors. This kit seems to be much better quality than others I've used. Granted, never purchased professional kits, always hobbyist consumer grade. But, for under $20, this seems to be a good compromise between value and quality.This is my first time using 2835 LED's and will not be last. The strips are narrower and the LED seem just as bright as the 5050's. Also, they seem to run cooler, an important consideration in my implementation - an aquarium tank lid light.Another positive about the kit that I received was that it was one continuous 5 meter string, no splices, unlike some LED's strips I've received that are spliced every 1 meter.Only questionable part is the quality of the power supply. Only time will tell but my experience with other kits like this is the p/s will usually fail within a few months.The dimmer is adequate though not using it in my implementation. However, it is convenient to use for testing while working on a project.BTW, if you are new to working with LED's, they are fairly simple and easy to use. However, if you intend to cut / splice for a custom installation, suggest that you learn to use a soldering iron. I've tried the premade connectors with pigtails and found out the hard way that they do not make a reliable circuit.Overall, I can easily recommend this LED kit and would purchase again.
