I was going to purchase this from a scrapbook and craft supplier, but saved $7 plus the cost of shipping by ordering it from Amazon. I am using this case for a set of 48 Spectrum Noir Aqua markers and a set of 72 Arteza fine line markers.I can fit up to 3 of the fine liners in each opening.So, even if you have small (thin) markers, or colored pencils, you can still use this case.Tipping this case on its side is a bit cumbersome in my opinion. I simply go through the pens and flip them over every so often so the ink doesn’t settle in one end for long periods.I may purchase a couple more of these cases to hold some other marker sets.

I wanted this for my Spectrum Noir markers to keep them standing up and organized by color for easy use. It works well for this purpose. The only thing I don't like is that the dividers can catch on a pen while taking one out and then all the markers fall together and have to be reorganized. I may glue them in. I'm also unsure how durable the clips are for holding the lid on which is important because if you carry it by the handle and the clips don't hold, all the markers would fall. It seems sturdy right now but just wondering if it will stay that way. So I'm 90% happy with it I'd say!

I bought this case specifically to hold bundles of 8.5" long paper strips for quilling and card making. I like to have all my colored strips on display so I can easily pick colors and store color scheme bundles. The measurements say the box is 8.5" tall (the tallest one I could find) but because the handle is recessed and there's an interior plastic case insert, the interior space is almost an inch shorter. So the lid doesn't fit for my needs, but I can hardly complain since I'm not using it for its intended purpose. However, this difference between the interior and exterior measurements is important to note if you're planning to store taller markers, paintbrushes, crochet hooks, wooden lead pencils, watercolor pencils, etc. You only have about 7.5" of interior height. The individual slots are exactly 0.75" square, large enough to hold even fat markers like POSCA and Sharpies.Overall, I like the sturdiness and clean look of this item. It's useful to be able to stretch out the sections and make them flat at the back of your desk, leaving you more uncluttered work surface. Taped inside the lid, there is a small bundle of adhesive stickers so you can stick the accordion sections together to keep it in a square, if you so choose. I removed one star because the lid is extremely finicky to remove and if you have arthritis or similar hand issues, would be nearly impossible. You have to lift all 4 tabs outward simultaneously to unlatch, while also lifting the lid at the same time. I had to have my husband help me. It would have been much better if it had hinged latches like some food storage containers have.Bottom line: I would recommend for marker/tool storage under 7.5" tall.

This is one of those products that you think is too expensive or not necessarily important enough to get. Put those ideas out of your thoughts!! I wish I would have bought it sooner. It is sturdy, holds all of my current art markers properly and is mentally calming. I say calming because I have protected my marker investment, I can get to all of them easily and I can arrange by color.

This is a nice case and solved a huge storage issue for me. Let’s me store all my pens in one place. I have two side by side. Love that you can change they way it displays the pens. Great flexibility. Would not hesitate to buy again.

I like this case but it’s too expensive.

Fits my Blick studio brush markers perfectly! The case works smoothly and is nice whether its accordion style or on its side. Lid fits and locks into place perfectly. I highly recommend this for marker storage and is easy to travel with! The case is also durably built and well designed.
