Quand je les reçu je trouvais qu’il m’avait l’air solide ! Effectivement la blade est solide mais le bout est très fragile ! Après 2 semaine d’utilisation le tape est fini, les rivet on lâcher au bout du tape et il manque maintenant 1/8 ou 3/16! vraiment déçu pour un tape a 45$ 😒

I’m a DIYer, and over the years I have probably accumulated over 2 dozen tape measures (ones I bought, ones I inherited, etc.). And ya know, my biggest frustration with EVERY one them: open them up a little too far to try to measure across a floor or wall (especially when you can’t hook the end), and they all suddenly snap and bend or suddenly twist, making it impossible to take your measurement. I decided to give this one a try, and wow! What a difference. I immediately realized how well it holds its shape and tension as you reel it out. See the photo of me holding this tape measure extended out over 12 feet in my backyard with just the support of my two hands. I dare you to try that with any of your tape measures. This alone earned a 5-star rating from me. It helps solve my biggest frustration in using any tape measure – this one stays rigid and true for a much longer length. Beyond that great feature, I really like the overall design. It’s rugged and robust. I love the feel of it in my hands… it’s like holding a baseball (see photo). It feels indestructible. The tape itself is over one inch wide and the magnetic hook end is ¾ inches wide. The tape is marked on both sides with large black numbers, and the numbers on the back side run up and down (versus left to right). This is a really nice feature when measuring heights. (See photos of the both sides of the tape and the hook end.) The lockout lever is robust as well and clicks into place when the tape is locked. And the retractable power of the tape is impressive: it’s fast and strong. I can’t imagine this one will ever end up with a “hanging-out tongue” after heavy use. All in all, I really like this tape measure – so much so that I ordered two more to keep one in all my tool boxes and workbenches, and I’ll be happily donating many of my old tape measures that just don’t measure up. (OK, yeah, bad pun!)

Bought this tape for work, lasted a week before it snapped off at a foot. It's absolute garbage, and anyone looking at this, should not bother.. you might as well throw your money in the trash.

Rusted in weeks front fence bent poor design

I use a tape measure for work (digital templater) and usually it last around 6 months due to its use. I have always bought the Fat Max from Stanley but I'm very impressed with this one. The OX 16ft is very sturdy and firm for use. It's wide (1-1/4") and its coating is very well made. You can even hear the noise when retracting the tape. I will buy the 25ft also and I definitely recommend this product.
