is this knife TSA aproved?

Pretty sure it will not pass TSA.

My ambassador (model 0.6503) sak came in a plastic sheath - not a victorinox box. any way to determine if the knife is a real victorinox sak?

The Victorinox Ambassador Knife I received came in a vinyl sheath and not a box. The knife is an authentic Victorinox.

Are the red sides made of plastic or metal?

Some sort of plastic - same as most other victorinox knives - definitely not metal. It is very durable. I love this knife. It is exactly the same as their “Classic”, but just slightly larger.

Is tweezer small or large

Tweezers are about 1 3/4 inches long by about 1/8 inch wide. They are useful for extracting splinters or cactus spines but that is about it. Not great, but very useful if you have nothing else available which is often the case. Definitely adds to the utility of the knife.
