Ok, this is an essential accessory for anyone doing Mig or stick welding It’s got a very wide shoulder protector which is essential for stopping sparks getting inside protective workwear, much better than my old one It’s a snug fit around the face but not too tight It’s dark blue which is great for absorbing UV light rather than flaring it back inside the helmet, a problem with some types of head gear This hood is wonderfully lightweight which is nice and seems to wick sweat away fairly well to keep you cool, plus it makes the headband of the helmet more comfortable The only slight complaint is that the neck entry is a bit small to fit over my head, but maybe I’ve just got a large head! Seems to be hard wearing and is comfortable enough to wear for at least a couple of hours at a time and it’s deflected every single spark and prevented anything getting inside my protective clothing Overall, excellent

Woman welder here! I have very long hair and this helps hold it all, as well as great protection from sparks and dust. I wear it religiously.

I have a large head (7-5/8), yet was able to finally get this on. It is tight but functional and I can wear it while working. Material and worksmanship seemed of higher quality. The tails of the hood are not as long as they appear in the picture and they don't lay flat. I am husky, but when trying this on a more slender head-n-shoulders person the lack of tail flatness was worse. A thick coat with collar will hold it down. A lighter weight shirt has less luck holding this in place.

Super comfortable and not too tight. It fits well under my hard hat and doesn’t feel bulky. Good coverage and protection without overheating—solid FR gear for the price!

My job went cheap and basically ordered a “one size fits all” bundle of normal head size. I came across this and thought I would give it a try and see if it fits my big head. I was very pleased at the stretchiness. Great quality and with a couple pulls around the opening where my face comes out, I was able to get this very comfortable for my daily duties. I definitely recommend giving this a try!
