Easy to use

This one-touch meter works very well for me. I was already using One Touch Ultra Plus strips, so I didn't have to worry about going and buying some, but it would be convenient if they included a small pack of strips for people to get started if they are newly diagnosed and just ordered the meter.The kit includes the meter, the delica plus lancing device and 10 lancets. These meters used to come with a decent little padded zipper case, but the companies are trying to cut costs and now they sent it with a little drawstring bag. Kinda lame, earning a 1 point deduction from a 5 star rating. The meter is accurate when tested side by side with my existing meter, which is a good start. It also tested within the appropriate range using my control solution.The lancing device is the nicest part of this. I travel a bunch and prefer to just carry those disposable single use lancets in my toiletry bag so I've gotten used to a pretty aggressive lancing device. This delica lancing device and lancets are actually extremely comfortable to use while still getting an adequate sample of blood to perform the test!All in all, this is a decent meter for the money. I wish they wouldn't have cheaped out on the carrying case and are just giving out a very impractical drawstring bag now.

Not back-lit. Disappointed.Already had three failures with the strips..One testing...212 the next immediately 167I realize all too well these strips and testing are merely an indicator, but come on.

This OneTouch Ultra Plus Flex meter is fantastic. It works just like the other OneTouch meters I've used. The lancet is more comfortable than the Verio Plus and has finer adjustments. Readings are quick, easy, and accurate.I will update this review if anything changes within 1 year. A 5-star rating indicates the product meets my expectations for its purpose.

It seems simple enough to use but I couldn’t get it to work.

OneTouch Ultra Plus Flex - this glucose meter is bare bones in the kit. There is no case, no test strips, there is nothing with the unit to verify it operates properly before spending money on a set of test strips. ( this is disclosed in the listing details at the time of this review ) The unit does include the lance and 10 lancets for making the finger stick.Also note not all OneTouch test strips fit this device so watch for the details- the Ultra Plus Flex strips are needed.The 5 Star rating is based on the $21 price at the time of this review and the app / smart phone feature for tracking glucose readings.

There are many types of glucose monitors out there, so I've always wanted to find one that was easy to use, with an easy to read display and good lancing device. This product fulfills most of those points - but it doesn't come with test strips. It seems to use a less common type of test strip that are more expensive - the OneTouch Ultra Plus Test Strips. I'd rather the device that I use be compatible with more budget-friendly strips. The monitor, however, does work well.

I'm not sure how to rate a device I cannot use. I got this to try as a new machine to replace the one I already have. Unfortunately it does not come with any strips - not even a couple to test the device with. And the strips I have are not the same type.The device uses a CR2032 H battery, as well it can be charged by USB. It is the older mini USB type - the cable is not included. I presume there is an internal battery that it charges.It was easy to setup the device and set the time and date. However I could not get the bluetooth to pair with any of my phones.The lancet was easy to insert into the lancing device and worked as expected. there are 7 levels of depth to choose from.It comes with a case that can fit all the necessary pieces to travel with.Overall, I would not recommend getting this kit unless you already have or plan to buy compatible test strips.
