Easy to use and It makes ice fast and I love it!

Ohhh do I love my ice maker! I didn’t know how much I needed an ice maker until I actually got it. I bought it as a gift for myself for Christmas. To say I love it is an understatement lol. I use it all the time! I work for Amazon as a delivery driver so I need to have ice every day to keep my beverages cold. This does the job! I got the WiFi version. It is very easy to set up and has a self cleaning feature which is very useful. It’s better to use distilled water for taste, but you can use water from the sink. The ice cubes are smaller than I thought but I did get the chewable ice. I just wish there was different settings to make the ice bigger. That’s my only complaint. It doesn’t take long to make the ice. Easy enough for my 12 yr old to use so she can have ice for her water bottle in the morning for school. Perfect for family gatherings, work, school, etc. It has a plug on the bottom to empty out the water. Just take a big cup, put it underneath and it empty it out when your not using it. If you don’t empty it, it will continue to run and produce ice when on, so make sure you empty it afterward.

LOVE LOVE LOVE!! I've had MULTIPLE counter ice makers, bullet style, and they die within about a year. Pretty much JUST after the warranty runs out. But this ice maker raised the game!!#1 the ice itself is like Sonic or Chickfila - they are little rhombus shaped pellets that you can easily eat right as it's being made (doesn't have to sit out or be in water for awhile first). This guy is great - makes it fast and perfectly eatable right away. The bullet style ones have to melt awhile first to be edible.#2 The smart functions. I know you are probably thinking, "why do I need my ice maker to be smart?!" Well here's the real deal. You can tell Alexa to turn the ice maker off in the middle of the night if you forgot and left it making ice. The ice maker gives you app alerts when it's full and if it needs water. This was a huge deal for me and it has been a huge relief to be able to tell Alexa to start ice or stop it from the comfort of my bed.#3 The programming you can do because it's smart. Hubby works night shift so I have a routine set up weekdays to start ice 30 minutes before he leaves then he has fresh made ice ready for him before he embarks on his day. You do need to ensure you have enough water in the tank before going to bed.I would be careful what water you put in it though. Nothing that will cause corrosion so they say no distilled (which I don't understand) or some of the spring waters (like the walmart spring water which leaves white residue in your cup)I'm very satisfied with this purchase. Yes I could have gotten something cheaper but I chose to put a little more money in and have something that lasts. So far I have no regrets.**********************************************************************UPDATE (CHANGED FROM 5 STARS TO 3 FOR NOW UNTIL THIS GETS RESOLVED): I perhaps have regrets about this purchase. It is now screaming like a pterodactyl and not producing ice. I have put only the bottled water they ask for and have cleaned it every two weeks. I called customer service and had to leave 3 messages before finally getting the phone tag to end. Then the phone assistant told me they could only send a ticket to the technical team to respond to me. They responded two days later and gave me a list of no brainers to try (self cleaning, drain it, let it dry out, unplug it... *sigh* then said the "continuous gentle noise should be no more than 60 decibles". Yeah we're getting over 80 decibles AND it is not producing any ice - it will run for hours scaring our cat and we get perhaps a cup of ice after HOURS. This is upsetting and I think we just got a bad one. We have loved this appliance and it's smart features are what we bought it for. Will update later and have videos but stay posted and we'll see how this company resolves it. It was not cheap and we haven't even had it 6 months.

This nugget ice maker is perfect for anyone that is looking for counter top ice maker for a small household. It is very easy to setup. Download their app, fill it with water, plug it in, and turn it on. I love that you can use the app to turn on the ice maker from anywhere. I turn my on before I leave work and by the time I get home 15 minutes later I have a ton of ice to use. My only complaint about the ice maker is that the ice storage bin only holds enough ice to fill 3-4 12 ounce glasses with ice. This is why I rated it 4 out of 5 stars.

I LOVE nugget ice (sonic, some chik fil a). I searched a long time. GE profile is the gold standard but I didn't want to spend 500USD + on it. This stuck the balance of value and efficiency. I also love the app which was a surprise as I can schedule ice making so when I wake up I have a new batch. Just remember none of these external pellet makers are a freezer. Once the ice is made, put it in a zip lock - and yes.... it still stays crunchable just like before but you may need to slam it on the counter to separate it again. NOTE: it does take some time to make a full batch - around 90-120 min which is fine with me. Thank you Santa for bringing this. I've already made over 50 batches of ice!

I have used the GE Profile since 2021 bought it new cleaned it regularly it quit this week, I know of two other people that have had the same problem. The GE doesn’t last for the price you pay.This unit is working great, makes ice fast, has nice features that will Bluetooth to your phone or tablet. It is a little noisy but that does not bother me at all. Overall it seems to be a great product for the price. I use it everyday and will see how long it last with regular cleaning. I do not recommend the GE.
