Bright and Easy to Use — Perfect Headlamp for Any Adventure 🔦
I recently picked up the Wurkkos HD12 Headlamp, and it’s quickly become one of my favorite lighting tools. First off, it’s extremely bright — more than enough for hiking, biking, camping, or working in dark spaces. The beam pattern is clean and wide, making it easy to see what’s around you without feeling harsh on the eyes. What really stands out is the tap sequence for switching modes — it’s simple, intuitive, and works perfectly even with gloves on. I can easily cycle through the brightness levels and modes without any frustration. The build quality feels solid, and the headband is comfortable for long wear. Battery life has been great so far, and charging is quick and convenient. Overall, this headlamp is exactly what I was looking for — bright, reliable, and easy to operate. Highly recommended for anyone who needs dependable light on the go!

Very Good Headlamp and Right Angle Flashlight Using Either 14500 Lithium Rechargeable or AA cells
This is a great product for outdoors or indoors. First, it provides multiple white brightness outputs and multiple red outputs both from "moonlight" ultra lows to more than useable output brightness. It's a right angle light, which in itself provides more utility in carry (clip-on pocket, belt, or strap to light your way) than the typical flashlight as well as coming with a lightweight, simple headband for use as a headlamp. The light is multi-fuel, using either a single 3.7v 14500 Lithium Ion cell (included) for highest output or a standard 1.5v AA cell (1.25v NiMH rechargeable, 1.5v Lithium (LiFeS) primary cell (non-rechargeable "Ultimate"), or 1.5v Alkaline cell. (I don't recommend Alkaline batteries from any maker due to their potential for leaking and ruining devices.) The light is only about 3.5" long and a little over 1" in diameter including pocket clip. This is an great outdoors (and indoors) pocket and headlight, providing ample run time and solid durability for most uses with its USB-C port for recharging the included 14500 900mAH battery, and boasting an IP68 rating. Many lights today are using either built-in or proprietary batteries, neither of which are best for long-term viability. The User Interface is not overly complicated, and the Red output modes are meant for real use, not "fun" as most RGB secondary output modes are.

Good value in a lightweight red & white headlamp, perfect for walking, camping & household activity
This is a review of Wurkkos HD12 Headlamp. I use headlamps daily and flashlights rarely as I'm usually carrying items in and out of home at night. This product performs fully as described in ad and is a good choice for a reliable low-cost red light capable headlamp which may also be used for overnighting outdoors where weight is a concern (backpacking). HD12 is powered by the included Wurkkos-branded 14500 lithium cell as well as Panasonic (formerly Sanyo) AA NiMH cell, both rechargeable type cells. I was surprised at the relative brightness produced by the 1.2VDC AA cell vs the 3.7VDC 14500. The white light by the HD12 shows no significant off-tint colors and the beam is fairly uniform with no banding or other significant undesirable artifacts. The red light is ideal for use in the dark without attracting insects. Just "eyeballing it", I estimate HD12's maximum 850 lumen rating does not seem exaggerated and the 5000K color temperature also seems about right. HD12 user interface is fairly intuitive with no need to RTM. I do find the required 3C to reach red mode sometimes hit or miss (my bad, not the HD12). HD12 has a red blinking mode only which may allow it to be used as a makeshift bicycle taillight. HD12 has no SOS mode - I suppose this mode has finally fallen out of favor after decades of non-use by everyone. According to my reasonably accurate digital scale, HD12 body weighs 48g, 14500 cell weighs 18g, headband weighs 20g, with combined weight of 87g (a result of scale round off feature). HD12 is thus only 6g heavier than my 2023 Black Diamond Spot 400 with 3 Eneloop AAA cells. In fact I bought the HD12 to replace my broken Spot 400 (these have a tendency to break at the tilt mechanism plastic hinge tab when dropped onto a table from a height of 3"). HD12 is likely more rugged than BD headlamps with far more white and red light capability, still with adequate run time, uses inexpensive rechargeable cells, at half the cost of BD. A win-win situation for my wallet, use case and the Wurkkos HD12. The provided headband is lighter and easier to mount and dismount light than previous Wurkkos headbands, like on the HD10 with integral rigid plastic retaining loops. I believe these loops will break eventually and repair is not possible. The HD12 headband uses an O-ring which is simple to use and likely not hard to source nor expensive to replace when it breaks. The HD12 headband does have highly reflective graphics which may provide some safety when walking in public spaces. Tailcap has magnet which does support in upside-down and sideways attachment in flashlight mode. The cap does require a moment of focus to reattach properly without cross threading, which is often the case on these smaller diameter thin-walled lights. HD12's integral USB-C charging does work well with red/green led indicators, maxing out charge at the usual ~4.2v. If you have a decent standalone charger it may be a bit faster than the HD12 but not necessary, which is a bonus for current lights with integral USB-C charger - they make carrying when traveling simpler as any phone cable will suffice. The overall quality (machining, finish, optics, electronics, switch, cap fit, etc) of the HD12 flashlight/headlight is very good for a sub $30 light with included pocket clip, lanyard, headband, USB A/C cord and 14500 cell. These cells cost $6-8 each by themselves. The only equivalent lightweight red-light-capable headlamp that is perhaps better on Amazon is Skilhunt, with limited availability / longish waits at twice the price. The Wurkkos HD12 headlamp is an excellent value and highly recommended for those with similar use cases as mentioned above. HTH, and have a nice day!

Good light; useless as a power bank.
Nicely lightweight, puts out a decent amount of light. The user interface is reasonably intuitive: a single click will turn it on with white light at the saved intensity, so my wife doesn't get frustrated. It works with a standard AA battery, although not as brightly. The manual says the power indicator will flash red while charging, but mine just glows a steady red. But the power bank feature is useless: I've tried using it to charge three different phones, a Kindle, and another Wurkkos headlamp, and it always failed immediately.
