Great plinker but not sure I'd even consider hunting with this
The construction of this piece well exceeds what you pay for it very sturdy and feels amazing to wield I live in the city so some airguns aren't suitable for backyard fun without causing a stir I can shoot hundreds of pellets without being a nuisance to my lovely neighbors with this diana I have yet to try it in pistol form I feel the moderator should be detachable to swap it across both barrels without forcefully removing from rifle barrel id advise purchasing this it definitely packs a punch for just a c02 gun but I don't think it hits hard enough to humanly dispatch anything more than a squirrel or wouldn't purchase for sole purpose of pest control the only bad thing I can say about this product is one magazine should be included in purchase even if you increased the price by 20 bucks I paid 32 dollars for a tiny plastic magazine if a gun is able to fire with a mag it should be included it's like buying sneakers without laces

Excellent pellet rifle at this price
Gun is an excellent buy especially since you are getting a pistol, stocked pistol (my favorite), and a rifle. Right out of the box stocked pistol shot consistent 1/2” at 10 yds. Fitted with an inexpensive Bushnell 1-4 25mm scope using medium rise ET Dragon 11mm dovetail mounts torqued to 10 inch pounds (plenty for gun with no recoil). Seven shot sight in (first 3 were due to turning turrets wrong direction) and achieved a 3 shot 1/2” group first time out! So much fun, may not put the long barrel on it.Disappointed in the shipping. Was not double boxed and stock package was mashed and bent and picture on box tells all my neighbors what I received. They should do better!

Tons of cheap fun!
With the 7 shot mag this things a blast! At 10 meters you can get 1/2-3/4” groups with open sights or a red dot. 15 yards drops to about 1-1/4”. I’m not an active shooter and this thing was definitely out shooting me. Flyers here and there. Prefers light weight pellets. First day just finished 500 plus pellets. Super quiet. It has its quirks to figure out for the price. Satisfied with the purchase so far.

And all that could have been
I screwed up my crossman 2240 with too many ebay mods too quickly, so I decided to go with the bandit/chaser kit next.Right off the bat the fps was weaksauce with both the rifle and pistol barrels, although the sound moderator did it's job. I compared the hammer spring with the 2240, and they were different enough that it seemed like they were using entirely differet design philosophies.I will concede that the Diana is much easier to break down and work on, so there might be looser tolerances contributing to the anemic fps.I put in a stronger hammer spring and cut the valve release spring and probably got it to around where my vanilla 2240 was.Stock sights are the absolute worst, I lost the valve somewhere on my nomadic work bench, and I don't feel like doing anything more with this build. The plan is to part out some of my unwanted builds and then get a FlashQE or, god willing, something by AEA or Mccavity arms. This isn't a bad plinker, but for how much I've put into it (last attempted mod was a froggy HPA conversion that i couldnt get running), I could have easily just bought something more satisfying (powerful). In other words I tried to turn it into something else and it didn't work out. That doesn't mean your neices and nephews wouldn't enjoy it on a nice summer day though, either as a training tool before handling powder burners, or as a budget blaster that will shatter cheap wine bottles but is otherwise pretty low in the FPE (power) dept.I chose this over the Beeman C02 tactical monstrosity so I could HPA it, and said monstrosity has been looking better and better lately.

Buy a crossman or something
Barrel plugs, bolt sticks, lever breaks, piece of s..., 5th or so diana i.owned, they're all bad guns, they all break in their own special way, if you must buy one, buy 3 so that when, after 100 shots it stops working and you take it apart AGAIN and find something ruined AGAIN, you have the parts right there.
