Snagged this sharp little handheld radio as an emergency backup in the event power goes out or I need to take something camping or into the forest on a hike. It's interesting that despite having buttons on the radio, the volume and tuning are analog wheels on each side. No problem, just thought it was an interesting feature. Selectivity was good on both AM and FM bands. Shortwave was a little tricky, as you've got to know where to tune for some content or you'll just be spinning the wheel forever. I was able to pull in a few SW stations in English as well as other languages. I like this, I'm sure I'll be using it, a great value for the price!

Has decent sound for the small size, which was a surprise. I have not tried it with earphones, but the description on the website said the earphones were included, but they were not. It is not patently clear, but I suspect the earphones may only come with the weather radio version. The one I got is AM/FM/Shortwave and maybe does NOT include the earphone. I have several sets of wired earbuds and high-end headphones and will update this review once I try them out. The radio supposedly outputs high-fidelity stereophonic audio using earphones. I have owned many professional quality FM and shortwave radios for more than 60 years. This small radio does not output as clean and robust audio as most of them, but we're comparing $2,000+ professional receivers against a less than $19 portable device. For its cost and size, it does a much better job than many low-end devices I have used over the years. I suspect the antenna may impede optimum reception; I may try to inductively couple an external antenna to this to see if that can be improved. But as it comes out of the box the reception is adequate for use as a portable device. I use a tablet, computer or smart phone a lot these days to listen to what used to only be available via shortwave. But there are times and circumstances when the digital devices & internet connectivity are not available, in which case this device can be a Godsend. I Have ALWAYS liked having a radio receiver in my pocket for ad hoc use. In my world, one can never have enough radios! This can scan and automatically save up to 30 stations for each band. Plus, you can program three shortcut buttons to immediately take you to preferred or favorite stations/frequencies. The backlighting, alarm clock and sleep timer functions are a great convenience, too. I suspect as I play with this more it will become "better" for my applications.

For the price this is a great value for a portable AM/FM radio with shortwave also. This has a lot of functions built in such as preset stations, scanning for stations, and decent sound quality for this size radio at this price. Thisbis great for a "bug out" bag or keeping with supplies for emergencies.

As stated above, i think this is a great little radio set. I was actually very pleasantly surprised, as i wasn't expecting too much with this one. Luckily, there is a good increase in technological advance recently with these budget type radio sets. I was definitely surprised to get such decent reception in AM, and particularly SW band. Both of these performed very well on this one. Not, of course, as good as my Tecsun PL330, but still very well considering its size. Once i opened the case up, i found out why these good results occurred: the main chip is a AKC6958, which is a great-performing recent DSP chip, which has also had a good bit of firmware development by PU2CLR, if you know of him. I notice that there is also an unpopulated UART on the PCB, though, so maybe firmware upgrades could be possible for the brave experimenters. I also found the opamp is the LTK4871 (a version of the LM4871), which seems a pretty decent chip, although it is a mono version. However, i did verify that the FM band is indeed stereo, through the earphones and performs well. So, i guess the opamp isn't used when the earphones are plugged in, since it is mono only. The big IC chip on the board must be for the display, i guess, but it is completely scrubbed and i couldn't identify it at all. But at least i know the radio chip, which is what counts. I found the radio to be very intuitive to use. You can make three channels as favorites, if you wish, as well as having thirty channels as memorized shortcuts. The one thing extra i wish i could do is to manually add a channel in the memory....maybe i can but missed how to do it. It scans very quickly and adds them all to memory, and then you can just click through them. I really like that i can manually scroll, too, with the side wheel, plus i love the manual tuning wheel. I don't like button pressing for volume. The speaker is obviously a bit tinny with no bass, but that's all i expect given its' size. It sounds fine for its size, and it goes way plenty loud for me. I would never need or use it at full volume....i'd be deaf. All said, this is a great little radio which will last forever on the two AA's. I love that they didn't go for AAA's. This little thing will slip in your shirt pocket, and would work great on SW with a long wire, too. The antenna is very short but it surprised me that it picks up so much. I like it.

The radio is a nice size. It easy to program the presets, and provides decent sound: when it works. I had trouble turning it on initially, so I tried different batteries; that worked. Unfortunately, the batteries needed to be removed and returned to the slots in order to reset the circuit: otherwise, it would not turn back on.

作りはちょっと安っぽい印象はありますが、時計・アラーム付き、バックライトあり・自動スキャンでチャンネル登録と、機能は盛りだくさんです。アンテナを伸ばせば、屋内でもちゃんと聞けました。 FMは108MHzまで対応しており、地域のAMのワイドFMも受信できました。イヤホンジャックもあり。 説明書もちゃんとした日本語です。電池はついておらず、電池入れ替えの際には時計はリセットされます。 国内メーカーの小型ラジオがもっとお安い価格で販売されているので、これをわざわざ指名買いするほどではないかなという気はします。

ソロで山に入る際の熊よけとして使用してみました。 小型軽量でザックのポケットにすっぽり収まり、単三電池2本で動く手軽さが魅力です。 受信感度は良好で、山間部でも条件が悪くなければしっかり電波を拾います。 音楽やDJのトークを流すことで、クマが警戒して近づかない効果を期待しています。 バックライト付きのボタンは夜間でも操作しやすく、7秒で自動オフになる省エネ設計も嬉しい点です。 ショートカットキーで3局まで登録でき、好きな局をすぐ呼び出せるのも便利。 デジタル時計や目覚まし機能も搭載され、キャンプでの時間管理にも役立ちます。 スピーカーはモノラルなので音質はそこそこですが、明瞭で聞き取りやすく、わたしの用途では十分すぎるくらいです。 防災用やアウトドアでの使用を考えると、コストパフォーマンスは非常に高いです。

試運転したところ、音質がさほど良くなく少し音が聞きづらく感じましたが、音割れもなくきちんと聞くことができました。 チャンネル選択の時、合わせるのに難儀しました。そこだけは気になりますが、電池のもちも良さそうなので気になりません。 3.11のときは、職場から家に帰るのに道が真っ暗で、 バックライト付きのラジオを持っている方が同伴してくれて涙が出るほどありがたかった。 防災用カバンに入れておくことにしました。

中華性なので取説によくわからない言葉が出てきます。 本体の印字が英語（これは野暮ったくなくて非常に良い）ですが、取説は無理やり翻訳の日本語にしているのでわかりにくい部分があります。 また時計や目覚ましの設定説明は文字が小さい（4ポイントくらいか）ので、老眼の方は苦労すると思います。 １つのボタンに複数の機能があるので、取説は失くさないようにしたほうがいいです。 電源を入れると大音量でノイズが流れびっくりしました。 音量ボタンには気をつけた方がいいです。音量の数値は液晶に表示されません。 FM 76〜108MHz 2028年を目処にAM放送は廃止され、一部を除きワイドFMに移行されます。 このラジオは従来のFM放送用の周波数（76.1～89.9MHz）に加えて90.0MHz～98.9MHzのワイドFMにも対応しているので長く使えます。 スピーカーは50mm、8Ω、1.0W。 音は大音量だと割れますが、電波状態が良ければ普通にクリアに聞こえます。 私は主に防災用に使用するので、スピーカーあり一択です。 本体はストラップ、電池を入れて137.0g。 電池ボックスの蓋が本体とつながっている仕様なので、蓋が勝手に外れたりなくすことはないと思います。 アンテナは最長25cmほど。普通の太さで折れやすそうとかは感じませんでした。 時計の合わせ方（電源OFFの状態で）※12時間表示 ①TIME/DELボタンの長押し ②+/-ボタンで合わせる ③TIME/DELボタンを押して完了 目覚ましの方も電源OFF状態で、時計/ベッドのイラストボタンで設定します。 時間を合わせたあと、「分数設定」という謎の設定があり、ここを設定しないと次に進めません。 音量は16段階で初期は13のようです。 また目覚ましと、就寝時のオートスリープ（100〜10分の6段階とOFF）があるようです。 私は使わないのでここはセットしていません。 ラジオはSCAN.SETボタンを押すと自動スキャンが始まり、FM/AM/SWごとにその地域で拾える周波数が30局（PO1,PO2〜PO30）まで自動保存されます。 そのなかからFM/AM/SWごとにショートカット①②③に保存できます。 その局を聞いているときに①②③いずれかのボタンを長押すと保存されます。 他の局を設定し直したいときは上書きできます。 バックライトは5秒で自動的に消える仕様です。液晶とボタンが明るくなります。 バックライトボタンとロックボタンが１つになっていて、ロックしているとボタンを誤って押してもONになりません。 多機能なラジオです。 使わない機能もありますが、防災用にはやはり持ち運びできること。 停電時に液晶にライトがつき、周波数を自動で拾ってくれるのは嬉しいです。

良い所 ・思っていたより、ちゃんと受信している（窓際だったり、場所によって感度が良い所はある） ・バックライトON、OFF便利（ON押して約７秒で自動で消える、つけっぱなしは出来ない仕様、見た目は少し地味になるけど、電池節約に良い） ・自動放送局検索機能（大体ではあるが便利、聴きたい放送局無かったら手動でセット） ・お気に入り放送局3つまでショートカットキーでセットできる、３つのボタンで直ぐ聴ける ・目覚まし機能（時間セットでセット時間にラジオスイッチ入る）自動OFF設定も可能 ・日本語説明書付き（地味だけど大事） ・重さ、約１４2g（エネループ単３電池２個、ストラップ込み）スピーカー付き携帯ラジオなら、まぁこんなもんかな 気になる所 ・アンテナ方向、真っ直ぐ固定、伸び縮みのみ、長さ約25ｃｍ ・ラジオ単体のスピーカーはモノラルのみ ・ヘッドホン接続時、AMはモノラルのみ、FMは自動的にステレオになる（SCAN SETボタンでステレオ切替マーク、STは出たり消えたり切り替えができるようだけど、ステレオのまま切り替わっている感じはしない） ・ストラップ取付部分が本体の中（交換する場合は本体背面のカバー外さないとダメかも） ・防水性記載無し、防水性は無いと考えておいた方が吉、雨対策にジップロックに入れての使用は可能（ただしアンテナは伸ばせない） スピーカー付き携帯小型ラジオの大きさは、スピーカーの大きさも影響するので、小さければスピーカーも小さくなり聴こえ方も変わります、好みは別れる所ですね、とりあえずスピーカー音も最大にしても音割れすることも無く聴けます。
