Heritage Series Shaver

I can’t believe I’m giving an electric shaver a 5 star review! However, I find this Remington to be a great product. First off, let's get one thing out of the way. If you’re looking for a shave as close as a blade, you’re not going to find it in any electric shaver. With that being said, I have used quite a number of blade and electric shavers over the years, so I can speak from experience. As with any new electric shaver, it takes awhile to get the hang of getting the best results from it. This particular shaver, once you’re used to using it, gives a surprisingly good shave with less work and skin stretching than say, a Braun. It’s louder than a Norelco (what isn’t) but it seems a little quieter than the Braun that I have. It’s pretty easy to use and clean. The battery life seems very good. I charge it once every week or two and there always seems to be plenty of battery life left regardless. It gets all of the hard to reach areas, under the nose, around the cheek bones, under the chin. I would be remiss if I didn’t mention the really cool, retro style! It has that 50s/60s Mad Men retro vibe. I loved the look and style when I bought it, but was a little worried that it may be more form than function. I am however, very satisfied with the performance. The cool retro look is a fantastic bonus! One thing, which is pretty normal for Remington shavers, the foil is very thin and can be damaged if you aren’t careful with it. Whereas a Braun will eventually get dull cutters, the Remington will wear through the screen instead. This is just a normal characteristic of the brand. Each brand/model has their own features like that. I think Remington has a real winner here and certainly would recommend it. I don’t know how it would work for a guy with a really heavy, coarse beard though. My beard is not like that, thus my extensive experience shaving since I just cannot grow a thick, heavy beard.

My husband really likes this shaver. Close shave, no ingrown hairs as easy, close to skin shave; doesn’t cause any in-grown hairs; no breakouts; only negative is trimmer isn’t great but the actual blades on shaver are awesome.

Really like this razor. No its not as good as a blade. But its darned good for an electric. Holds a charge for a long time. Charged last week and its still going. Looks great. Love the retro look. Shaves close but if you wait a while and have longer hairs it can pull some. Hence the 4 star and not 5 star rating. But overall its a good razor that cut nice. Enjoy using it. Very nice looking in person and not too heavy. Good quality. I recommend it!

After only 5 or so shaves it began getting weaker. Could feel some hairs pulling so I assumed I needed to charge it again for some reason. Now less than two months after purchase, fully charged, it doesn't shave at all from either the flip razor or the normal shaver. Also the flip razor is awkward and flimsy, and does not do details well even when working correctly. This shaver is one of the worst products I've ever purchased (looks cool though).

Reminds me of my Schick razor from the 1950's . Good feel, & good looking . Good buy ,too. Takes me 3-5 minutes to shave with this razor...........it's fantstic! and so close too. A great product I'm so glad I wenr ith Remington and this razor. 1

I refer to this shaver as our old fashioned shave. Husband is bed ridden and can shave himself m, it works great feels good in his hand. Not as great as a razor but does the job

It really looks good and feels nice in your hand but the shaving quality is just not up to par for the price. If you do wet shaving with shaving cream or gel every time, then the shave is acceptable. However, if you try to dry shave, It is quite tough to get a good shave. You can spend significantly less money on a Braun 3 series and get a much, much better safe quality. If I paid the full something like $150 for the other model I would give given this two stars but since I spent significantly less on the model I bought. I've bumped it up to three stars

I purchased this shaver because for one thing, my dad owned one back in the 60s. He enjoyed it and this new model comes cordless. I used regularly, good product.

Great little shaver, i didnt expect it to shave very close because its electric but it does shave quite close leaves a little stubble behind, i suspect it will get better as time goes on and more times my skin has time to get use to the way it works but a safety razor will always be the closest shave you can get. i bought this one because i am on home oxygen and COPD, and Amyloidosis so i dont get into the shower much to shave so the electric one is for in between times which so far is working quite well i am very pleased and yes very little next to no razor burn on the neck area

The shaver was a great hit, shaved him clean, and he is happy happy happy

Slow-ish motor. Hard to shave right under nose. Plastic case. USB charging and replaceable cutter is a selling point. Plus side now … still going after three years. I was able to buy replacement cutters on eBay which shipped from Italy, because Europe still sells this model.

This product works very well. I bought it because I liked the vintage style and it turns out to be a great shaver. It charges quickly and gives me a close shave.
