Simply Outstanding!
This EV charger has been an absolute game-changer for me! I bought it for my Mercedes EQC, and it works flawlessly, delivering exactly as promised. One of the standout features is the long cable, which provides fantastic flexibility and convenience. Whether I’m charging my car at home or away, the length of the cable makes it easy to reach any power socket without any hassle. The build quality of this charger is truly impressive. It feels solid and durable, giving me confidence that it’s built to last. Additionally, the IP66 rating is a bonus, as it guarantees weather resistance, allowing me to safely use it outdoors regardless of the conditions. This level of durability and protection sets it apart from other chargers on the market. With so many similar EV chargers available, it can be difficult to know which one to choose. I opted for this one because of the number of positive reviews it received, and I couldn’t be happier with my decision.Overall, this charger ticks all the boxes – great functionality, robust build quality, weather resistance. I highly recommend this product to anyone looking for a reliable and efficient EV charger.

Quality and no issues
I bought one of these because I recognized the brand and because reviews of other wall-plug EV chargers did not fill me with confidence. This has been good, charging my EV when I don’t have access to a faster charger at a rate of around 2.3 KWH/hour. This means it takes just over three times longer to charge than a standard 7.4KW AC home charger, but it has been enough for me! It is well made, with very high quality cables and strong construction. It doesn’t get hot or heat my sockets too much, although you cannot use an extension cable with it, as the power draw is very high.It hasn’t let me down, even though it has been the only overnight charger I’ve had access to all month - I am looking forward to getting a proper charger next week, though!

Works fine but advert is misleading regarding mains supply length
I was looking for a charger that has a long lead on the 240v side of the charger. The side that has the 13amp plug and the illustration in the advert shows the 13amp plug with a10m as the length. The 10m refers not to the mains side cable of the charger but to the output size of the cable. The actual mains side cable is also not as short as shown in the diagram but is at least 1m long. So that said the actual charger is very simple to operate. Plug it into the mains and switch on, then plug into the car charging socket. Job done. It does not come with a storage bag. You will know this is not a fast charger so my MG HS PHEV took 12 hours to charge 24.7kWh battery. If you want to put it into a weatherproof outdoor storage box the charger unit measures 12 x4x2 inches. The price seems a wee bit better than average. Apart from being mislead by the advert I am happy with the charger and see no reason not to recommend it.

A Handy Backup That Delivers Peace of Mind
I've personally used this Masterplug Mode 2 EV Charging Cable and I genuinely think it's great value for money. It’s well-built, made from high-quality materials, and super easy to use—just plug it into any standard EV Rated 3-pin socket and you’re good to go.What I love most is how compact and convenient it is. I keep it in the boot of my car at all times. It gives me that extra peace of mind, especially when I’m travelling or feeling a bit anxious about finding a charge point.⚡ Just remember this is a Mode 2 charger, so it's not as fast as the rapid chargers at service stations or the Mode 3 home chargers—but that’s not what it’s for. It’s the ideal backup option, perfect for topping up your battery and trickle charging, when you’re not in a rush, or if you don’t do many miles in a week. One quick tip – if you're planning to use it at home, make sure your socket is EV-rated (like the Masterplug WP21). It’s a safer, weatherproof choice designed for EV charging. They’re cheap to buy and install and if you already have an outdoor socket you can just swap them out for an EV rated one.All in all, a reliable, affordable solution that’s well worth having—whether as your main charger for light use, or as a backup to keep your EV journey stress-free.

Excellent product. Robust, useful digital display, bargin price
Had been looking at getting a fixed 7.4kw charger installed, but the maths didn't work out for our use case.We already had an external socket on a 32a circuit (would have been fine on 16a as well), and the EV is a second car used for local journeys with a small battery (18kWh i3) which can be charged from flat to full in about 8 hrs on this charger.Prior research suggested Masterplug are well regarded, so seeing this on sale for £104 it seemed like a no brainer. The product is robust and seems like it will last as others have suggested. The display is very useful, showing charge rate etc not just status. The charger does not get hot (a slight concern i had with granny chargers in general), and its also a nice discreet colour (black and dark green, not white and neon like some others), which is a small detail, but none the less a benefit. Also bought a cheap £10 wall mount so use it exactly the same as a £1000+ fixed charger (minus the speed, which we dont need). When we eventually replace the main diesel estate with an EV, we will need a fixed charger, but this would then become the travel charger anyway

Effective
Seems very reliable. After charging on the driveway I do need to lock and then unlock the car before releasing the connector which was a bit confusing at first. It is a bit slow - I haven't used the charger supplied by Mercedes at a commercial station yet. BUT - when fully charged I'm only getting 25/26 miles of range which I'm pretty sure Is some way below the advertised figure for my C300e. I'm looking into it but the data can be hard to find. Is shorter than the 10m advertised by a foot or so which is a bit annoying as I have to park my car differently outside the house to be able to reach the connector. Still worth having though and was discounted so I'm pretty happy.
