DYND12578H - Medline Leg Bags with Twist Valve

I chose to self catharization with indwelling catheters permanently and these bags are sturdy and perfect for me. I am able to sleep through night with the catheter and thus bag. finally no waking 2,3,4 tomes each night.

I have used these bags for five weeks with a NEW bag each week. ALL leaked a small amount. I finally discovered what the problem was. The BOTTOM screw valve has a ROUGH spot or BURR on the threads. This occurred on ALL bags. When you TIGHTEN the valve, the ROUGH spot or BURR makes you think you have completely closed the valve. WRONG!! Tighten a little bit more until there is NO MOVEMENT on the screw, and you will have NO LEAKING out the bottom. Otherwise, works well. GOOD LUCK and keep the bottom valve TIGHTLY closed!!

Catheter s are a nuisance. These bags help. East twist drain valve (others have caps), comfortable straps and a good size - not too big or too small. Recommended.

Husband found this to be exactly what the hospital gave him. Very sturdy and works well. After about 5 weeks the elastic straps began to stretch out. All in all a great product.
