Although the box I received was not damaged, it had clearly been opened. More than half the octopi were open inside the box and several of them were damaged beyond the poin of salvage. There was a sticky residue inside the box on several of items. There is no liquid inside these things that I can tell, so I have no idea what the sticky residue was. Amazon could not issue me a refund without sending these back, but I wasn't about to touch them again, so I threw out the opened ones - again more than half and amazon issued me a 25% refund without having to send them back. So, Amazon made good on what they could. About the product itself, they are pretty poor quality and I don't see them being very durable. If they were 10 - 12 dollars they would be more than worth it, but for 22 or whatever they are, not so much.

I bought these for my son to play with, and he's having a blast. The toys have squishy heads and a more sturdy base (the legs) with suction cups underneath. They come in bright colors with glitter on the inside. One thing I noticed is the heads are slightly sticky. I have one sitting on my desk, and it got a paper receipt stuck to it. After some time, a grease stain appeared on the receipt where it was touching the toy. It was easy to remove though.

Super cute and fun, heads do detach occasionally.

Love this item. My coworkers , friends, family, and kids all love . Played with this till the octopus was deflated.
