VS Athletics Weightlifting Shoe II

I went through two or three pairs of the old VS I's over the last 5 or so years. For the price, those were some solid shoes.Having worn the Model II's for a couple weeks, they seem to be an overall improvement. The sole is stiffer (compared to new Model I's). These being weightlifting shoes and not cross trainers, I see that is a plus for sure. The heel cup remains solid, though it could be a tiny bit more snug for me. Arch support would be the only area where I see a bit of room for improvement. The fit is true to size, and lace/double Velcro is a time tested and secure setup. Similar to the Model I's, the heel is on the high side (which I like). I can't report on the durability as of yet, but if these are anything like the model I's, I expect them to have an average lifespan of ~18 months wearing them 2-3 times a week (rarely, if ever treating them like a walking shoe). For the price, I would recommend these shoes to any new to intermediate Olympic lifter or power lifer who likes oly shoes.

Had to order one full size up on these because my regular size was too narrow. Other than that I think they are working well.

Squats deadlifts and weight training

Much better than previous version of this shoe. More stylish too - now it doesn't look like I am squatting in nurses shoes.

These shoes are amazing. Great price for what works as well as any professional shoe. Well worth the price and more! Only criticism is the straps need to be shorter.
