Have been wearing a Garmin since 2012 and it was like a second skin. Never took it off. All the good watches were sitting in the closet as Garmin was occupying the wrist real estate. On 5th September 2025 decided to switch to Gabit smart ring and now I don't think I would every be going back to a smart watch (breaks my heart to give up my beloved Garmin EPIX 2). Battery: Fully charged it on 5th and since then have been using it actively for walks, workouts, sleep tracking and food logs. Today on 13th September, the battery is at a solid 26% which means it would last me a good 16 days on one full charge which is awesome and is more than twice of what they claim. Ease and comfort: It just sits on your finger (5 gms or so with the silicone cover) and never a bother. With the funky silicone coloured covers, it is also a fashion accessory. I have a black and a blue cover and the ring is never a bother. It so comfortable. Sleep tracking: It is better than Garmin hands down, captures naps, is very accurate with sleep stages and it accurate in capturing sleep and wake up time. The only glitch I found was that once you are in bed either reading a book or browsing, it shows it as awake time before going to sleep which should be corrected. Step Tracking: very accurate, as accurate as Garmin. Activity capture: Automatically detects activities and once you sync, it shows the detected activity and one can then save it as walking or running or whatever activity was done. Food logs and calorie tracking: This one is by far the best. It shows calories out accuractely and the only app which has all Indian foods listed with portion sizes and calorie counts to show calorire surplus or caloire deficit at the end of the day. I would say great job done by the backend team on this one. Other goodies like SPO2, skin temp, heart rate are a given and its all there. The app: great interface with awesome analytics, AI integrated and leaves no room to want more. I am sure their tech team in the backend are at it every day to make the experience better and better with more data learning from users. Will also get the weighing scale from them soon.
